I don't care anymore. I have canceled my Showtime subscription and have found other ways to see boxing matches online. I have been ranting about Haymon fighters not fighting each other. Then bam, we have this Garcia vs Salsa and Peterson vs ???.. Nobody cares. Floyd/Haymon fans still love him for it.

The guy is clearly into building up fighters out of cab drivers. They may fight legit opponents once in a while, but his general agenda will always be his fighter pitted against a nobody.

Gone are the good old days in boxing. Nobody cares. No one is doing something about it.

Good post. The worst part is he isn't just building fighters by pitting them against low level opposition, no***8230; he is taking actual champions, linear champs and top contenders and has them fighting unknowns for good paydays and primetime slots on tv. That alone is sickening.

To the bolded, it seems like the sanctioning bodies are attempting to at least do something by having their conferences and discussing the future of boxing. However, it is the SANCTIONING BODIES who are doing this so***8230; corruption is still at hand

Guys like you who exaggerate the past are really whats wrong with the sport.

Good for his fighters who are being well compensated for fighting tomato cans, but bad for us fans as he tends to advise his fighters to stay away from real threats which in turn denies us great matchups.

This is a horrible example. Whos talking about building up fighters? I didnt realize Garcia was still being built up.

Not talking about Garcia-I was talking about how he built russell?

He tried and failed. Thats what happens in boxing.

8/16 @SHOsports card will be Shawn Porter-Kell Brook, Omar Figueroa-Daniel Estrada & Sakio Bika-Anthony Dirrell 2 in Carson, Calif.

Its a shame the 8/9 card isn't better because showtime would have real momentum. Instead, no one will be watching on 8/9 which will surely hurt the above card.
