so I am thinking someone from 154 will be his opponent if both belts are on the line

vs someone like Cotto who is not a true Middle Weight or Light Middle Weight himself that match would make sense to put all your titles on the line

at least someone that has fight at Welterweight and Light Middle Weight Recently

You guys are so ******. He can defend both titles because all he has to do is weigh in at 147lbs.. That would put him under the SWW division so he'd already qualify as far as weight is concerned to defend both WW and SWW belts. As long as you make the weight you can defend as many belts as you want. Roy was going to do this with Joe Calzaghe (weigh in at Super Middleweight and have him put both belts on the line).

Idiot, Khan started his career at 130lbs and Maidana started his at 140lbs... Yet Maidana is too small??? Smh.. The only thing both fighters have to do is weigh in at 147lbs anyway.. TF are you even talking about?!

Ok then so really there is no news? He was defending both titles against Maidana? Or does it only count when Floyd decides it does? That's where the confusion starts

Like I said, this is a cop out excuse from the WBC and/or Floyd as to keeping those fees and/or titles

LMAO trying to draw interest back, now they are trying to create historical feats to sell tot he fans like he is going to defend two titles in one night hoping the casuals buy into it.

Man just fight Pacqiuao or Porter and unify the WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC straps at 147 against Pacman or Porter. or any other belt holder. or unify the belts at 154.

Enough with this sideshow crap dude.

Take it easy on the children of Boxing Scene, they are slow.

If Floyd wanted to pay the extra sanctioning fees, he could have defended his WBA and WBC 154 titles vs. Maidana last May. All this is gonna do is just put a boatload of belts on the line during one fight. WBA (Super), WBC, The Ring WW, WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring JMW. 6 of the 10 belts at 147-154 on the line in one fight.

But there are no candidates that are ranked no.15 or above in both divisions

I'm not sure on the RING policy on defending that 'belt' in both divisions, but it is near worthless in todays boxing world anyway

EDIT: and are the WBA OK with this? (****** question, I know, but you never know sometimes..)

A fighter doesn't have to be ranked for a voluntary defense.
