      Now THERE'S a contradiction.

It's ridiculous... Martinez used to have incredibly quick and effective lateral and head movement, and good footwork. He also had much better reflexes.

To say that Martinez at 34 couldn't move, bob, weave, bounce in or out any faster than he could at 39, and that by being able to move much better wouldn't help him defend is ridiculous.
And you still bet against the other guy

Good tell it to someone who actually cares.

I am the original Sergio Martinez stan on this website. Give me my respect.

Cotto won and Martinez lost. Badly.

That is all there is to say. Move on.

What if Martinez fights GGG and beat him. What would you say?

I am not saying Sergio was the same as Chavez or the Williams was but let not act like he was the Castillo or Gatti that fought Alfonso Gomez

I agree it was obvious Sergio was lacking in his movement but he still wasn't as fast or responsive as he usually was either. That is due to either 1) age and/or 2) the fact that Cotto caught him early and he couldn't recover.

Personally I think it's a combination of both.

That said, I know that Sergio from 2009-11 would not have went out like he did saturday night. That was downright shocking. I didn't see that happening.

you live in a fantasy land.

martinez is going to retire. he is all done. maybe he looks to make dough with easy fights in argentina.

obviously it's a combination of both.

no reasonable / objective posters are denying that martinez was hurt.

cotto beat up a completely shot fighter.
