I just don't find a one-sided beating of a clearly impaired guy, that enjoyable.

I want to tread lightly on this as to not be labeled a hater, and I take nothing away from Cotto bc its not his responsibilty for Martinez to be healthy. That being said, the Martinez camp can say all they want that the knees had nothing to do with it but an impartial viewer could see that he was clearly not a man standing on healthy legs. Also when a trainer stops the fight because a guy who is coming off consecutive knee surgeries "knees are not responding" I tend to think he had an issue going into the fight. I just think they don't want to say "yea we've been lying to you for the past 4 months to help sell the fight"
Dude I'm a cotto fan I'm Puerto Rican but don't like Trinidad never did just my thing I rather watch a bad fight then no fight at all... I spend a few yrs in the service this is the first fight I got to watch live in awhile I was like a kid in a candy store

sergio got his azz beat man i think everyone should just get over it, he was never a great boxer, he was an athlete with too many flaws to fight elite fighters... Cotto was the first elite boxer hes faced.... 2 years ago he wouldnt have an answer for the left hook as well, he would have put up a better fight tho... He had a good run and was overhyped by some, good luck to him in his future

I wasn't robbed. I enjoyed a great display of boxing skill from a hall of famer.

And I streamed it and hooked the HDMI to the TV so even better

Martinez, the fool who ran his mouth for weeks and got his fanboys to join in on all the comments about how Cotto would be destroyed, did not have knee problems, instead he suffered from a condition called facial planticilus. It's when you get smashed in the face with a left hook and embarassingly plant your face into the canvas. My signature shows a medical example of this.

This is the condition that can be used an excuse because he suffered from this during the fight.

This tool is what will help recover from this condition: You might need a prescription from your doctor to get these, though.

OT is smoking that ganja. No way in hell did I feel robbed on Saturday. In fact it might of been the most fun PPV card I've seen this year. That and watching it outside on a 60 inch TV in perfect weather might of added to the fun

So funny that most of these posters before the fight we're talking all sorts of **** saying it doesn't matter how ****ed up Martinez was that he was gonna wreck Cotto regardless of Martinez time out of the ring and injuries... That was 75% of this forum...

Then Cotto goes out there like a man on a mission and DESTROYS Sergio in the first round where Sergio couldn't recover.. Nobody on this site saw that coming except for about 5%. Of this forum...

Cotto did what he needed to do and stuck to his gameplan.. Quit trying to discredit the man.. He made history.. Because if your favorite fighter was the one who fought Martinez I guarantee that you wouldn't say ****...

I am A huge Cotto fan... And I even thought Martinez was going to win.. I did say that Cotto had a chance albeit a small one if there was still problems with Martinez... But Martinez should have still been able to take care of Cotto.. I was wrong and even lost money on the fight.. Cotto had a gameplan and worked it to perfection.. I get people hating that Cotto won the fight because of a "bum" knee, but if Sergio is man enough to not make a single excuse about his knee and no actual proof that Martinez knee wasn't fine then why should you discredit the mans performance? Cotto was the better and stronger fighter that night..

Also some of you say Martinez was over the hill.. Lol. I forgot that Cotto is in his prime huh? Cotto is more shop worn than Martinez has ever been.. Just my take on the fight...

Damn, give Cotto credit for the win already.

Maravilla was fine or else his team would not have put him in the situation in the first place. If he was not fine and his team fed him to Cotto, then who is at fault?

Martinez looked fine. His knee did not give out and he admits that himself. Dude got sparked out and was trying to avoid the next punch. Why are some people making excuses, Martinez does not even make?
