I can not believe how many whinny girls are starting to show there panties.

Before the fight people were all on Sergio strap.

Now he wasn't the same guy.

I told everyone Paul Willams would have been TKOed by Cotto. Paul Williams was a Volume puncher with incredible stamina that's all. He was easy to hit and threw looping punches. Sergio landed a great shot in the second fight and the rest was history.

Pavlik was getting shots in on Sergio. But Pavlik was not the same guy who beat Jermain Taylor 1. He had alot of mental demons.

Then He beats a couple of no named brits, and a non trained Chavez JR. Struggles against Martin Murray.

Sergio had never fought anyone with Cotto's caliber. No one with a left hook like Cottos.

Cotto demolishes Sergio even with great knees.

Point is if UMAD. Don't Worry I am not I witnessed history live!

No excuses Cotto le gano bien! Martinez isn't the fighter he was. Cotto does have power but he's not a devastating puncher. That reminded me of when Tito use to punch dudes and everyone was shocked and wondered where all that power was coming from. Que Viva Tito!

Martinez' right knee looked impaired before he was hurt and continued to look it afterward (for reference: compare the differences between Martinez' lower body movement for the Chavez and Cotto fights, respectively). The effectiveness of Sergio's offense and defense, especially, relies heavily on footwork, foot speed, and balance. Without those attributes, Sergio is still an above average fighter because he still possesses the other qualities that made him an excellent fighter, but he's not a Top 10 fighter in the Middleweight division (I'd go so far as to say that the version of Sergio would lose rematches to his last 5 opponents).

Cotto, using Roach's game planning, would still have been a difficult matchup for Martinez at 100%. Cotto's hand and foot speed, combinations, defense, ring generalship, and experience would always give Sergio problems, but I doubt that a healthy Martinez allows that fight to be as one-sided as it was.

Unless Sergio undergoes another procedure and does heavy rehabilitation to his knee (and I might be giving him too much credit because those knee injuries almost always linger), Sergio will lose his next fight against a Top 10 level fighter. This blind eye people are turning towards Martinez' condition is a knee jerk reaction to people's desire to have Cotto's victory unsullied.

Martinez should not have been allowed to fight, and the people who paid $$$ were sold a healthy dose of BS. Were were lied to. Again, Cotto is not at fault. Sergio, his team, and everyone else who knew his true condition are. Lies, a bunch of lies. Martinez was dropped 3 times in Round 1. Again, what if I told you that before the fight? Common sense is a lost art.

Tranquilo tigerito I have a feeling u think Cotto is a monster. Don't forget hes been butchered before. And quit against Margarito when he was undefeated, and don't wanna hear about no plaster that was a destruction. Are u saying he punches harder now than he did back then when he was younger and stronger? C'mon son

ive been saying this, no version of serg beats cotto, maybe he woulda put up a better fight but his skill set just isnt good enough to fight elite boxers!!!! toooo many mistakes!!! bad knees or not u cant keep getting hit with the same damn punch for a whole fight without at least trying to adjust!!!!! Serg was simply overrated but was a great athlete and put on some good fights i enjoyed watching him.

                  2010 Sergio murders Cotto.

Cotto isnt an elite boxer, it's already been proven. He's lost his biggest fights and to mediocre fighters like Trout.

Beating Delvin Rodriguez and a crippled Sergio Martinez doesnt make him a great fighter still.

Nationalist boxing supporters are terrible for the sport, they cant think rationally cause they're blinded by nationalist bias.

Theyre almost as bad as racists when it comes to sports.

U guys love to use that excuse. Did u c the rematch where the fight was turning just like in the first one and cotto was starting to retreat just like the first fight cause margarito was starting to land just like in the first fight.

he didn't lose vs mosley, and that's one of his most important fights

if cotto isn't elite neither is martinez, if sergio had the likes of pacquiao or mayweather roaming in his weightclass, they'd have ***ed him up also

and the guy that lost to trout was fat cotto, plus just a bad style matchup
