    No surprise with this thread.

I don't see why he shouldn't get credit Martinez was willing to sacrifice himself for a Mayweathet/Pacquiao sweepstakes at a lower weight never mind the belt point is it's being held at a higher weight then what Mayweather or Pacquiao would of fought Martinez at.

    So yup it's a significant.

Six month ago you were saying that Cotto was not going to fight Martinez and he was going for a weaker opponent. The fight is signed, we are less than 4 days from it and you already questioning if he beats Sergio. Why would you not credit Cotto for doing something he is not suppose to?

I fear it could be a situation similar to when cotto fought Yuri foreman, where they obviously put a disabled fighter in the ring to take a beating.

Martinez could be completely broken down and looking to cash out here, time will tell.
It's very possible. After the fight, majority revert to stuff.

Way to go on only thinking it's the Cotto nation.

Also this Catchweight is a weight that martinez usually comes in at anyways when cotto fought pac and when canelo fought floyd they were made to come at a weight they hadn't made before
Ahhh so let's play Cotto is the victim card again. He didn't have to fight, he chose to. He picked the money which is why Martinez..ooooohhh for glory?

At a catch weight, something you didn't like before.

I did, I actually did say he wasn't going to fight Martinez. I was wrong with that but I was right about a catch weight if it were to of happen.

This is too funny you people are not seeing the logic with the thread.

I think the 1lb is a bit silly yet not entirely silly when Sergio's never been above that weight.

but you can't answer the fact that Sergio wanted to fight PAC/May no where near the middleweight limit and would sacrifice some concessions and body more to fight them.

It is, but a catch weight is a catch weigh. Even worse when the fighter has been INACTIVE.

Where in this thread have you asked me the opinion on that(regarding Pac/Floyd)? How can I answer something you didn't ask?

Your clearly stressing and becoming clearer in this thread your more concerned about what ppl think about the CW then giving credit itself on a win. He's not supposed to win though you know that.
