I like BHop, he is biz savvy and of course ring savvy, but damn the guy doesn't know when to stop talking, or how to be economical with words for that matter. Hope GB gets back in the swing of things sooner than later.

At the end of the day Oscar got outta rehab talking all this recovery stuff. Making amends with people he's had problems with. Letting the past be past, etc. And while that's awesome for him on a personal level. Business wise, it makes little sense. And not only is he, probably unknowingly, undoing a lotta what's put GBP on top. He's also stepping on the toes of the folks that have been there since day one, in the trenches, making GBP what it is today. He needs to check himself before he's outta business sooner rather than later.
this is probably the best thing that could have happen to boxing. cant for oscar to get the may/sep dates with good fights.Comment

For Oscar to save his Ass.s, he'll need to work with Arum. Damn near merge with him, if not he's a sinking fast. Not sure if he can dot his I's and cross his T's on his own.Comment

you al, shcafer, ellerbe can keep em, gbp would still have canelo who looks like the next big thing. plus that list stinks. So what?
Richard made alot of money without contract working with Haymon for years. You cannot tell me that the GoldenBoy was so dumb that he did know this was going on.
What was Richard going to do if Al didn't allow his fighters to sign? let money go out the window..you make a deal that is good for everyone and you all make money. GB has operated this way for years and prospered.
The Golden Boy knew that TBE and the Executioner was not sign to any promotional contract but he let Richard rock out like that and now it a big issue because of some lawsuit from Duva brought this all to public light. Another thing is Richard doesn't want to *uck with Arum..it's his right, the Golden Boy should know where his loyalty lays and keep Arum the hell away.
Richard didn't do anything wrong....while the Golden Boy was coking, Richard was building an boxing empire. GB will be in big trouble with the Golden Boy running it
Expect these fighters to bail (if they haven't already)

You sound like a company man. I'm an HVAC guy. All I need my boss to do in the morning is tell me what he wants run. After that, I don't need his suggestions or opinion on how I should do what he asked me to do unless I ask. And I've been known to get very annoyed with bosses that like to give suggestions and opinions. I'm sure Schaefer feels similar when it comes to Oscar.
and iam the guy who fires people like you who tend to know everything. Or who think the company would fall apart without them. That mentality and attitude are not good for business.Comment

won't matter both top rank and golden boy under oscar are living in the middle ages..fighters no longer will be satisifed with long term contracts for a few million..they are thinking like promoters with the help of uncle al..Comment

The old buzzard arum will lure the clueless oscar in then when oscar least expect it, arum will raid gbp and pick the carcass clean and put oscar out of business. Gbp has already lost the biggest name in boxing with many more to follow. Richards presence allowed oscar to show favoritism to some fighters and throw barbs at others with impunity. Oscar just made the biggest mistake in his career. And all because he was jealous of the attention richard was getting for making gbp the biggest promotional company in boxing.Comment

After reading some of these comments, The first thing coming to mind is the scene from Goodfellas where Sonny (De La Hoya) and Paulie ( Arum) are sitting down discussing making Paulie a partner in his restaurant business. Paulie squeezed him for everything he had and left him out to dry. "It's not fair really"
