How many PPV buys are you expecting Nelo-Lara to do?

The only thing that connect Hopkins to Oscar is his Oscar moment against Calzaghe.

Now the only fighter Oscar has of any significance is Canelo.
        So what?

Richard made alot of money without contract working with Haymon for years. You cannot tell me that the GoldenBoy was so dumb that he did know this was going on.

What was Richard going to do if Al didn't allow his fighters to sign? let money go out the window..you make a deal that is good for everyone and you all make money. GB has operated this way for years and prospered.

The Golden Boy knew that TBE and the Executioner was not sign to any promotional contract but he let Richard rock out like that and now it a big issue because of some lawsuit from Duva brought this all to public light. Another thing is Richard doesn't want to *uck with Arum..it's his right, the Golden Boy should know where his loyalty lays and keep Arum the hell away.

Richard didn't do anything wrong....while the Golden Boy was coking, Richard was building an boxing empire. GB will be in big trouble with the Golden Boy running it

Expect these fighters to bail (if they haven't already)

Oscar either better find someone competent fast or learn on the job fast. July is coming faster then you think and he needs to reassure the public, the sponsors, networks, and fighters that he can "keep the company just afloat, but on top".

Tbh I just see Oscar hiring another guy to replace Richard. Oscar will always be and be nothing more then just the salesman for the company, he needs an engineer like Richard to make his company work.

I hope that when Oscar De La Hoya succeeds in doing what he plans on doing that he remembers who his real friends are and who stuck with him and who didn't. Right now things don't look the greatest for Golden Boy Promotions so everyone is talking about how they're guna do what's best for them personally, business wise, and financially while forgetting all about loyalty to the man who started the company. But wait and see how everyone will back pedal as soon as they see the company be successful again.

Regardless of what happens with the Haymon signed fighters, Oscar and GBP will be fine. Someone else will step in and replace Schaefer, probably get in contact with HBO and have GBP boxing back on cable's #1 premium network. Other fighters will step up and become stars, boxing does not live or die with Al Haymon.

When you're the boss no one can question you. When you get hired to do a job, it's your responsibility to perform that job not your boss'. That's what you get paid for. Running a company doesn't make you the owner! Bernard is a smart man but at the end of the day, the boss is the boss and it takes two to tangle.

You sound like a company man. I'm an HVAC guy. All I need my boss to do in the morning is tell me what he wants run. After that, I don't need his suggestions or opinion on how I should do what he asked me to do unless I ask. And I've been known to get very annoyed with bosses that like to give suggestions and opinions. I'm sure Schaefer feels similar when it comes to Oscar.

Good interview with Hopkins. The more I think of it the more ret@rded Oscar appears with this move. How is B-hop not signed to GB as a fighter, If a part owner isn't signed to the company as a fighter what makes you think any decent name besides Canelo is locked in long term.
