I will say this again; People like you took the word 'best' and gave it a philosophical meaning(how can you be the best if you dont do this or do that) to steal the title a way from Floyd. Their is no question that he the most complete fighter in history.
I asked you a question. Name a fighter who can fight his opponents and change their whole fighting style and dominate them all without being hissed? Name ONE fighter that is better than Floyd and can do what he did to the people that he FOUGHT.
Their is no way to talk around his skillset when your debating with me. Im not going out of my way to act like its just not there. Im not going out of my way to act like everyone he fights is a bum or none of that fake mess you all do.
Not being hissed, so he doesn't get hit? because he does espacally back in the day at the lower weight classes his face was not clean on some of those fights.
Saying Floyd can only do that to Canelo, is BS because you don't know what a SRL or other ATG fighters could do your just speculating.

I'm not trying to discredit margs win, but it's not a historically significant win in terms of this era's welters.. Good win but I was only using the big wins that were legit big fights to the general public

Was serg vs margs a big fight..... No
Was it early in their careers and had little bearing on their future.. Yes
Neither fighter did much after for at least five years..
I honestly don't even know what your trying to debate or what your point is..
Since green margs happen to beat green serg does that really make a difference on margs resume at welter...

Now as far as him being the greatest, are we going to now separate the word best from the word greatest? To take the title away from Floyd? As far as him being the BEST we're not going to even go their. He's the best and its not his fault that he was born with the tools that no one else was born with. But as far as who's legacy shines the most, I dunno.
Every true ATG has something that pulls them away from the others. Pac's 8 weightclasses may never be duplicated. Of course that dont mean he's the best. SRR 120+ fights will never be duplicated but that dont mean he is the best fighter skillwise. He made tons of mistakes and Im not impressed by his skillset, I actually think Pac is a better fighter than SRR. When we talk about which of these fighters has something that outshines everyone else. I mean lets be honest bro SRR fought in a time period where everyone was fighting 5 times a month. Im sure if Pac fought in that era he would have 100+ fights. I dunno if SRR outshines everyone else. When we look at Pac's weight classes, he started boxing at the age of 16 and went pro early. If Floyd went pro his age, they would have the exact same amount of weight classes by now. Now judging a fighter for what he does IN THE RING is where its at, but Im not going to go as far as saying he's the greatest. Things began to get too complicated at that point. But with everything in perspective Floyd is byfar WAAAAY more impressive than them. They could NEVER do what he does. But put him in their situations he would have 100+ fights or 8 weight classes but thats another debate.
But look at what you just did with the word 'hissed' Lol
"He got hit once by Mosley so its not true that he never gets hissed" Is that the game we're playing now? Come on with the bs.
That means That SRL was basically a bum in comparison. SRL is no worldbeater skillwise. But he got HISSED WAAAY more than Floyd.
As far as SRL, your going to say Im speculating about him not being able to walk down Canelo without being grazed? Are you fking kidding me? Thats a stone cold fact thats not speculating. Only Floyd can fight as sharp as Floyd fights. SRL has never in his career fought a BUM and showcased HALF the skills Floyd has against guys TWICE his size and power. So whats the point of saying its 'speclation'.
Everything you say is slick things designed to give you ways around what Floyd can do. Thats crazy to say "speculation" no its a freaking fact.

The greatest and best term i'll explain. Someone could be the best at defense or offense someone could be the best skilled or best hitter of all time or best all round fighter of all time there's a difference to being the greatest in terms of legacy of who you fought.
Floyd could beat a lot of ATG fighters from the past and in fact he might be better skill wise then them, but for legacy wise there still better because they fought other ATG fighters.
I'm only saying "speculating" because you make things that are speculation fact. Do you have a video i could see of SRL vs Canelo? or a time machine to bring SRL back so he could fight Canelo? No, so stop with this notion of Floyd the best skilled at everything. Floyd does not have better footwork or speed then SRL. And yes i would like to see how Canelo would gas out when SRL starts running around the ring. Canelo is also smaller than SRL he'll dance around him.
Floyd has high IQ which i respect, which Floyd admits himself most guys he beats he doesn't beat a opponent with speed and power he out thinks a guy.

2 time lineal champion
Defeated lineal welterweight champions mosley, judah and baldomir
Defeated major titlists maidana, marquez, ortiz, guerrero, mitchell and hatton
Only way pac is ranked over him in this discussion is person preference
