  • Clottey lost all is big fights....even lost to Baldomir who people **** on a lot on NSB

I have to disagree about favoring Clottey over Ortiz, Maidana, and Guerrero when floyd fought them

Clottey is a very good fighter when he opens up. When he fights guys who throw a decent amount of punches he puts his ear muffs on and doesnt even counter. Thats how Cotto pulled out their close fight, Guerrero is too aggressive, Maidana is and hits as hard as Cotto at 147, mabe harder. Ortiz is 50/50

I'd put Mayorga ahead of Cotto. Ricardo has the the two wins over Vernon. what in the hell has Cotto ever done?
I was hard to decide...Forrest has the best single win on the list arguably, an prime undefeated Mosley after defenses and ODLH win

I just gave Manny the edge because he has a little more depth.....1 great wins doesnt outweigh 3-5 good wins in my book.

Manny has a decent resume, he just fights guys not too far removed from loses or bad showings at welterweight....He has the best list of names on his ledger at welterweight but he fought them at the worst possible times....Rios, Clottey, Mosley didnt win their fights prior to fighting him....Marquez and Bradley were not ranked when he fought them at ww the first time....DLH was a dead man, it was sad to watch

        • winning close fights like sd, md, sucker punch, and a questionable/robbery win from an 18:1 underdog should not be even ranked in a division. smdh

Lol. It was his first real challenge going up against a seasoned veteran. And he only lost because he head butted Baldomir because he was rushing head first. It was also his 15th fight. You act like he was already a legend before facing him Baldomir. A DSQ loss isn't nearly as big as a legit UD loss.
How does that take away from beating who I mentioned? Ortiz would give up after taking so many uppercuts. Guerrero wouldn't get past his defense and get countered easily. Judah? Best him fairly easy, making him quit. The Maidana fight would be close though IMO.

Already a legend? This bum azz fighter wont beat ANYONE LOL. When he fought Pac he didnt even throw a punch and he lost to Baldomir. Look how small and weak Bradley is, way smaller than Clottey, and Im not impressed with Pac fighting Bradley tbh.

Im Sorry bro but Clottey cant even throw a punch at Pac, and cant even beat Baldomir aint no way in hell he will beat Ortiz, Ghost, or Marcos.

And whatever defense you think he has is not going to get him ANYWHERE with Ghost. Ghost is a tall pressure swarmer. Boxrec and Tail of the tape may list him as short but he is the biggest ww today. His swarming style, causes his punches to be closed together.

Its NO WAY Clottey can avoid his shots. Floyd changed his entire style to beat Ghost and you gonna tell me this bum azz fighter who lost to Baldomir is going to put on a defensive display? GTFO with this trash LOL

                    • are people seriously talking about clottey losing to baldomir? hands up how many here saw the fight.

clottey lost due to a DQ, because of numerous clashes of heads that took place in rounds 10/10 if im not mistaken, before that, clottey was rather handily winning the bout.

sheeeeesh at least watch a fight before posting ****** comments, stop boxrecing ****
