If Duva wants the fight why don't they go ahead and make a new offer? Stevenson isn't committed to Showtime. This fight is PPV worthy. I don't understand. They weren't that far off the first time. Just meet Stevensons number then get on with it.

Duva is about to be my new favorite promoter, while every other promoter and manager, including loud mouth lou dibella won't say a word about haymon and his business transactions, Duva came out swinging.

      Duva for the win!

It's becoming an unhealthy obsession of hers.
Lets see how Kovalev's television ratings do when he keeps on fighting the Cedric Agnews of the world. She knows that HBO's interest in Kovalev was at least partially based on the fact that there was a possible arch nemesis for him in Adonis Stevenson. Without Stevenson, Kovalev & Duva are left out in the cold with very little options.
Personally, I don't see why so many fans are so easily seduced by Kovalev.
Is it because of his punching power? His pigment? Or a little bit of both?
Kovalev and Deontay Wilder are both knock-out punchers with seemingly superhuman power. Both have beaten a lackluster list of opponents, but neither has had to show very much variety in terms of skill. Yet the same fans who are in love with Kovalev are skeptical of Wilder.
Adonis shows time and again he has no skill. Like a baby bird he is all ass and mouth.

I thought it was a good fight and that Stevenson did well, fighting like you want to see a champion fight. Fonfara was (and obviously still is) underrated and under appreciated. He was tough, tried to apply pressure, and gave the champion some trouble. Stevenson was starting to tire and got knocked down by a good shot. After Stevenson was knocked down, he impressively adapted his game and changed his tactics. Instead of running after getting knocked down, he switched from fighting on the outside to getting right into Fonfara's chest. Fonfara asked questions of him and he responded like a champion. The fight was competitive, but it was not exactly all that close. Stevenson won somewhat easily on the scorecards against a determined opponent. He showed a variety of skills, and he showed heart. He showed the qualities of a champion, so yeah, I would say it was a success.

Kovalev's resume is much better than Wilder's. He has fought higher ranked opponents and he has also won a world championship belt and defended it twice. Didn't you hear about that?
But the reason so many fans are supporting him now has nothing to do with skin pigment. Kovalev wants to fight the other belt holders in his division and they obviously don't want to fight him.

You state that Kovalev is not legit but Fonfara is, what???? Newsflash: Champions are not suppose to fight to the level of their competition they are supposed to dominate weaker fighters, Adonis failed.

People are fed up with Stevenson's cowardice. That's why his numbers have dropped.
