Hopkins, 50 years and all is the real deal at 175 & I don't give a fuck who beats him at this point, they'll be beating the best guy at the weight regardless of age, so y'all can suck a dick with the "Hopkins is old, therefore Kovalev is better" talk. Hopkins is just Hopkins when he beats a top 10 guy, but when Kovalev does it, it's a touchdown for his resume?!?? Man what the fuck is wrong with y'all!!?!?? What the fuck is it man really, this bullshit is frustrating. Y'all really want this Kovalev motherfucker to be this Modern great you want to believe he is. HE GOTTA FUCKING BEAT SOMEBODY MAN GOTDAMN!!
It all comes down to the fact that Kov is more interesting to watch than BHop. Now stop cursing so much, unless you want we should start calling you Arreola. HA

I like Duva, sandy vagina or no... hell I'd still think about it even though she's about 80.

Nonetheless there is and was no more exciting fight at LHW than Stevenson vs Kovalev.

Those who are saying 'who has Kovalev fought?' have no argument. Clearly there are only 3 (or perhaps 4 if you include Pascal) relevent names in the division - in beating Campillo, White and Cleverly, Kovalev has made himslf a top name in the division - hell, in fact I'd pick Sillakh against most of the LHW top 10.

Having spent last weekend on the burns ward of the Manchester Kids hospital attending to my son...who's currently climbing on me with sincere determ ination - damxsbn xa - and attacking trhe keyboard - I missed Stevenson vs Fonfara, but hope to be catching up shortly (just moved house and had broadband reconnected yesterday).

Really only Hopkins , Stevenson, Kovalev and possibly Pascal matter in the division right now - Dawson ain't gonna fight Kovalev now he's signed with Haymon and Cloud has become almost irrelevent - who else is there? Chilemba?

Simple fact is that Kovalev is a top name in the division and a quality fighter - and he is... if the prevalent biases are put aside, Kovalev is a very skilled fighter - he may have a worryingly offensively weighted style which could ultimately lead him into trouble, but his skills are quite plain to see...

Damn, and I mean this - anyone who is a genuine boxing fan - it'll take you somewhat under an hour to watch Kovalevs last 7 fights on tube - I really defy someone who appreciates the sport to come away without acknowledging that Sergei is a lot more than just some 'puncher' from the East.

Cloud can lose 2 straight and still be a good win for Stevenson, Dawson can get drained and wrecked and still be a good win, Bellew can lose to Cleverly and still be a good win, but Kovalev has to prove himself first.

The agenda is so freaking obvious.

But he's a former champ that slid by a former champ in Campillo... wtf has Kovalev done?

Dude needs to prove himself if he wants to be taken seriously

Incidently, as I mentioned in my last post, real life has been keeping me kinda busy - can anyone tell me what happened to Beterbiev vs Lacey? - had been looking like a great step-up fight for Artur, but boxrec says the damn thing never happened - in fact that Beterbiev didn't fight at all. Did Jeff get injured? Did Beterbiev?

You only need to look at one of Kovalev and Wilder's fights to see that Kovalev not only has a much better resume, but is also much more technically skilled.

Here's a video of both of them to compare and contrast:

Even a casual fan can tell that Kovalev is better. But just in case you still have trouble seeing the difference, I'll explain.

Kovalev is much more accurate and compact with his punches. And look at how bad Wilder's balance is.
