Fonfara, you might have proved that Adonis Stevenson is No Superman but you also proved that even if he is a Superman...you proved why he avoided the Russian Kryptonite

As for Stevenson...I fuckin hate that dude even more than I've ever hated Broner.

B-Hop will outpoint him easily maybe even TKO him in later rounds. Stevenson has stamina and chin issues, not to mention he's one dimensional.

Russian Gangsta would just kill that punk, unfortunatelly we'll never gonna see that fight.

      WAR FONFARA!

I think the issue with Fonfara is that he was underrated on here and at the books.
He's always been tough, and tends to turn it on late.

He beat the B level guys he was supposed to.

People are hard on Stevenson but I think who he chooses as a next opponent will go a long way in either rectifying the situation or further vilifying him.

He is a good fighter. He does seem somewhat limited at times but he can be crafty in the ring, just nowhere near the level of the grand master.

This fight proved that Sergey Kovalev is the best Lightheavyweight in the world.
He will now be frozen out by Haymon so that Stevenson vs Bhop can be sold to the mugs as a history making unification fight. They will probably fight 3 times, each guy being given a decision before doing it again for real. Who will win that one, I don't know, and I really couldn't care less.

He proved nothing. If all you're aiming for is to last 12 rounds, you better stop in the middle of the fight, instead of letting yourself get punished for no reason other than last the distance.

It's very difficult to watch these types of fights. You start out by rooting for the underdog, then end up hating them. How in Neptune can you win by barely throwing punches?

No serious boxing person says Fonfara won...but Stevenson was exposed for a guy who can't fight going backwards...and Stevenson was close to being KOed...Stevenson was hit with punches that if landed by Kovalev would have put his lights out...

Agreed. Fonfara had him where he wanted him. All of the punishment he took earlier finally paid off, but what does he do? Completely back off. It's as if fighters like this are scared of winning. They don't know how to win in big fights.

How can you hate Stevenson, it's true that sometimes a fighter may duck, or his promoter, or trainer ducks for him but you can't take away from him that he puts on a good show. Even when you see him in interviews he doesn't come across like Broner or Floyd.

There really isn't anything to dislike about the guy.
