I love how the same fans who don't mind Stevenson ducking Kovalev to fight Bellew and running to Showtime..keep trying to hype up the Hopkins fight...

Stevenson will beat Hopkins easily...it'll be a boring easy decision where Hopkins just runs around doesn't engage and loses almost every round... got it? It'll be the Chad Dawson fight 100X worse...

The fight that everyone but Floyd fans want to see is the Kovalev fight...hopefully GBP and HBO work things out...

I think Fonfara is a tougher opponent than given credit for...but I mean this fight makes it pretty clear why Stevenson fought Tony Bellew instead of Kovalev and why he got cold feet after agreeing to fight Kovalev...dude would rather breach a contract than fight Kovalev.

Fonfara only really has that left hook..that's his KO punch he landed it hurt Stevenson and followed up with a right...

Kovalev will keep coming and his shots have a lot more power in them..the problem with Stevenson is that he punches himself out..and when he's not hurting a fighter...he's doesn't fight well going backwards...

I can see Kovalev taking Stevenson to the ropes in the later rounds and stopping him...

Fonfara just developed that tactic in facing Adonis and he still landed that weak left hook over and over. Kovalev has been fighting, throwing sneaky hooks and uppercuts with power his whole career. Adonis gets knocked out.

Fonfara showed lots of heart and so did Stevenson

I believe what Adonis said about injuring his hand in the early rounds, he wasn't using his left as much later on.

Fonfara took some pretty nasty shots... Most fighters would have went down multiple times.

I would love to see him face Kovalev next.

As for boxing abilities, Stevenson showed he can adapt and come back strong after a knock down. Not easy to fight a guy with significantly more height and reach.

Superman was constantly going for the knock out, got tired and it gave Fonfara a chance to rebuild his confidence and win 3 rounds.

Now that he had to go to the judges, Stevenson can concentrate on wining fights and not necessarily go for the KO. This will be important against BHop.

Another issue Fonfara had in this fight is that Stevenson is a south paw. Fonfara's best punch is his left hook and that's the toughest punch to land on a south paw...Kovalev doesn't need to rely on that punch as much hence another reason I like Kovalev in the fight...

But to Hopkins-Stevenson...Stevenson will win the fight easily...it'll be a boring fight where Hopkins runs around and does nothing and then at the end Hopkins will act like he got robbed when he throws like 10 punches a round and never engages Stevenson...

I'm not really experienced in it..but I've seen other posters type about it...I'd be willing to bet "the max" on Stevenson in the fight with Hopkins with anyone...not sure how that works...but I'm js...

Kovalev fight sounds good, too. I'm not opposed to watching it. But if Bernard wants to fight Adonis this fight would happen first.

Bring back Caesar's Palace fights then we can have the geezers at Caesars part two.

You missed a really good fight btw...

Stevenson held a lot more than Fonfara did..and Stevenson landed a lot of low blows...but Stevenson clearly won the fight...

Still ducked Kovalev though...

We haven't seen the last of Fonfara... This guy has heart and a good punch. If he corrects a few things he can become a great champ.

The fact that Stevenson won 9 out of 12 rounds against this guy says lots about the great champion that he is.

I say Hopkins next

Then why not a Fonfara rematch (who knows, maybe he will have Kovalev's belt at that point)
