Err..but he has been inactive enough. The guy doesnt even have a fight lined up and wont have any time soon. Chad at 168 and Rodriguez in 3 years without the prospect of another fight in the next six months? Sorry mate, but that is not p4p material.

I'm starting to dislike Ward even more now. Never been a fan of his style at all and now this guy isn't fighting. He cleaned out super mw, so move to lhw if there's nobody to fight. A fight with pascal or kovelev would be good IMO.

I just like fighters to fight. Activity is always something that I as a fan respect. It almost seems crazy today that not even very long ago, fighters would take tune ups in between title fights to stay sharp. That seems like an alien concept nowadays.

I had such high hopes of Ward after the super six, he seemed like the perfect torch bearer to carry the sport forward and its so disappointing whats happened since with his career.

I would not call Larry rascist or nationalistic.

I can agree,I mean I had no issue with the Dawson fight..Yet since then he has not discussed moving up,or fighting 3G or anything that would excite the fans..I won't lie I used to hate the Tune ups(mainly cause of Hoya lol)but they were a useful at times..I still think some fighters should use um like Bradley Alvarado,Peterson already used his,and a few others..It really is time for Ward to step up..He needs to fight a Chavez or 3G if not move up already...

You must have missed his recent black power meltdown.

It doesn't matter what he has done since because it hasn't been a year. No body has emerged to take the spot from him and he didn't lose it by any of the applicable criteria. It's as simple as that.

I think its bizarre. There are decent fights out there for him, yet nothing happens. Its really not fair to rate a guy at the top thats just not fighting or making any moves. I know he's in a bit of a bind with his situation, but surley that should have been sorted out by now.

Its all opinions, but for me, fighting Rodriguez and chad at 168 isnt enough to keep him there. It will also be more than a year when he next fights anyway and even then its likely going to be another average opponent.
