There is no clause because Mayweather is his own Promoter. That was the key thing about buying his contract out for Top Rank. That he would never again sign with a Promotional company and instead be his own Promoter. He'd only partner with another Promotional company, and it would always be on a fight by fight basis.

Golden Boy and Haymon would not be 'pissed' at Showtime for doing business with Top Rank. Golden Boy would still be doing business with HBO, if it weren't for the fact that HBO doesn't want to do business with them anymore. HBO cut Golden Boy loose, it wasn't Golden Boy that left HBO.

Not at all I'm just intelligent enough to not be divisive, I'm very happy for them and what they've accomplished and I'm not gonna be talking slick in a divisive way. No I do not know their business details, but I know business. I also guarantee it is not with just a handshake and good faith deal. If not, they are idiots.

What I do know is that Showtime and GBP's now have a huge self dependency on each other, and each one of them will want to protect that dependency.

But Golden Boy kind of did leave HBO. They had all their fights on Showtime even before HBO gave them the boot. Only guys that were still fighting on HBO were B-Hop and Broner because of previous contract. So they screwed themselves. They could have had dates on HBO and SHO, while Top Rank would be HBO only.
