RJJ still beats him but he wouldn't look like superman doing it.
If Joe was such a master why was Reid able to tame him? No rematch either. Roy would've outmoved and outfeinted Joe.

Joe said himself he never wanted the fight. You can't win a fight you think you're going to lose.

You're saying "Well take level of opposition away, he looked special didn't he?"

You're not combating anything I've said with any actual points.
The difference is... you're using your points to support a biased opinion. You hate Calzaghe, fair enough, do what you gotta do. For me, and many others(including Manny Stewart, who's opinion I respect a whole lot more than I do yours), Joe was a special fighter. My understanding of a special fighter is something you can pick up almost in an instant, it's a fighter with a certain kind of grace, a way of portraying beauty with their body movements; not something based off statistics or anything like that. We're talking about somebody who's born an artist. You can't train for that, that magic; all the number-crunching or arguing in the world won't bring that to you.

That's MY understanding of special. That's the kind of fighter I like. You want to isolate a few cold hard facts and use logic to back up your dislike of a guy, go ahead. Me? I go on a feeling. Sure, I mightn't have the knowledge of someone like yourself; I'm sure it's something very dear to you, I wouldn't be surprised if you get some kind of sick sexual satisfaction from these type of arguments. One thing's for sure, you're no artist.

Roy in his hey day was something really special. Joe would be resilient enough to last the distance.

Roy by decision with a couple of knockdowns of Joe during the fight

A special fighter doesn't openly admit to not wanting tough fights after the Robin reid hiccup.

I'm stating facts and bringing point to the table to back up my claims. You're going off "Feeling".

As for the rest of your post, you know absolutely nothing what so ever about me and what I do and don't do.

I believe special fighters have immeasurables that make a world of difference, but this dude has dug himself a deep hole and ignoring facts is the wrong way to go about winning an argument, lol.

I do enjoy Slapsie's work, and I do think non-US (particularly UK) fighters get a hard shrift on here, so I'd like to fight his corner a little.. or slap his corner.

But it's hard to get too behind him when a shot to **** Roy nearly KO'd him in one, ain't it?
