There were other reasons for him to become a free agent besides just Floyd. You keep trying to ignore that fact.

So, I was wrong about Manny going INDIE. It has to be more to it than what we've read about this new deal. He's worth too much to resign for nothing. I have a feeling that Oscar, Manny, and Bob are up to something good for the sport. He'll fight someone he's never fought before and it's going to be HUGE! This deal could be a good thing. We all know that Manny will fight ANYONE BUT as long as it's not a 5th fight with Roidquez or Bradley, I am up for it. He should try and unify with Porter or fight Maidana to out do Floyd's mediocre performance. That fight will break 1million, guaranteed! Otherwise, there isn't anyone else worthy right now. A win over the aforementioned names puts Manny even further up the ATG list. I already have him at #er 5!

I don't believe in nor give a **** about all-time lists. That said, I can name 5+ guys I've seen in my two decades plus as a fight fan. I currently have Manny either 2b with or 3 behind Floyd and JMM his era. But it's all a matter of opinion I reckon.

Please, Miguel was shot to bits and was the third biggest draw at the time. To insinuate that Cotto leaving Arum was the main reason Floyd fought him is asinine. Maybe after Pacquiao gets brutally stopped two more times Floyd would actually publicly state his willingness to fight him.

Why can't you just accept that this isn't all about Floyd? Manny doesn't have to leave Arum, he can do what Cotto did when Cotto fought Floyd and Trout, and still goes back to Arum. He doesn't even have to fight Floyd, he has more options on GBP side to fight as long he were willing to work with them without Arum being involved.

The reason Mayweather gets brought into it is because his tard fans have become obsessed with the idea of Pacquiao, a fighter they hate, leave his promoter since Floyd starting pushing the idea. That is why "Pac should leave Bob" has become the new buzz topic now no-one cares about OST or Catchweights.

As for Pac fighting those GBP fighters - yes, that would be nice. You know what else would be nice? Floyd fighting non-GBP fighters - Pacquaio, Bradley, Provodnikov, Martinez, GGG. Or are you OK with a Khan fight and Chino re-match?

Again, just your opinion. Bottom line, he fought Cotto as soon as Cotto was a free agent at the time. You can twist it however you see fit, but Manny didn't called his bluff, Cotto did.

Why don't you leave your job, take what is essentially a one day contract on a self employed basis to appease only one person. Once you are a free agent, your sole contract can then be negotiated, which may in turn leave you in a worse position than before.

Seriously, why the hell would any boxer give up their security because people sat behind monitors don't like it and brand it idiocy. It is what it is. Sure Manny might not have people around him that put his interests first, but He knows how to work with these people and becoming a free agent (with a new team) could be out of the frying pan and into the fire at this advenced stage of his career.

Manny and Floyd can do what they want. TBH, they are as bad as each other and Manny has possibly tarnished Floyds legacy without throwing a single punch and vice versa.

I salute you, very unbiased neutral. I agree with most, but the way you guys say FMJ wouldnt have fought pacman, to me is no fact and cant be proven. The things FMJ says arent that important it would be about what would have been negotiated. evryone can talk a good game in front of a camera.
In Pac support if he really has a garanteed 20M contract that can go up based on PPV buys that is a top tier deal. So if thats true than monetary he's ok. But the roster at HBO is so lacking at the moment...

It would be so great to see pac vs the top dogs at showtime. The boxingworld has lost potential epic matches. I mean i would have been filled with adrenaline if pac would have faced the Porters and Thurmans...
