Not surprising in the least bit, the signs have always been there. Manny would be hard pressed to leave TopRank.

- Manny has never taken his longtime Filipino lawyer's advice (Gacal) on leaving Arum due to questionable contacts and business.

- Koncz whom is Manny's adviser, is a TopRank shill, inserted by Bob Arum himself in order to continue brain washing Manny.

- Manny owing millions in taxes from which Arum and his company handle on his behalf.

- Top Rank loaning money to Manny

- Pacquiao hiring VisionQwest to audit TopRank contracts, Taxes, financial records only to fire them shortly after. The company still manages to uncover missing funds along with shady contracts.

It's not even about the Mayweather fight at this point.

I want to know at least the general details of re-signing with Top Rank, why was it better to stick with Top Rank? Timothy Bradley gave a solid explanation as he said he will be getting a certain amount each fight that will not go pass that point but what is Pacquiao deal really looking like. He had a 27% deal where any amount he was paid 27% was taken by Arum.. this is not even including the cut his manager was getting and whatever else perks they put in his contract that he may be paying for, like travel to and from his native country. To keep his work visa valid as well what lawyers he will be paying and who...

Also why would he limit his options to only 2 -4 fighters when he can have up to 10 fighters he can decide to fight, that are in his weight class. Not only that but he will have more bargaining power where he can sell himself at a higher price and wouldn't have to pay a middle man. Anyone with a brain with adequate thinking will see why this deal is such a dumb move as it's initially presented.

Well things have DRASTICALLY changed since 09'* In 09' Floyd was just off a near 2 yr layoff with alleged money and tax problems. Despite just dusting off Pac's nemesis Marquez rather handidly. Pacquiao was the consensus lb for lb king and PPV king in Floyd's absence. If reports are true of the one and ONLY legitimate negotiations, Floyd realized that he and Pac were at just about on near footing and seemingly compromised: agreeing to 50/50 split, gloves, ring size and ridiculous $1mil per pound weight clause although Floyd had NEVER missed his weight class weight limit. (Yes he missed catchweight but was still 1 lb under welterweight limit).* We all know about Pacquiao's rejection of Floyd's stipulation including Floyd again capitulating in arbitration. I*believe Floyd's financial situation superceded his dislike for Arum at that time and this is where Manny and his advisors dropped the ball. They had leverage at the negotiating table and lost it as Floyd re-established himself as lb for lb king while Manny had diminishing results ending with a brutal KO to Marquez after just squeaking by Marquez in 3rd fight. Many believed he lost so the controversial lost to Bradley was a wash to most including myself. Manny has somewhat restored some of that lost glory with his last two fights but the fact still remains at the negotiating table he has most definitely lost major ground. His PPV, live gate numbers pale in comparison as is his boxing status relative to 09'. Floyd's financial situation has SIGNIFICANTLY improved since 09' to the point he really doesn't need the fight save for legacy. (He'd receive much less credit for beating this version of Pac anyway) Now with you being in Floyd's shoes financially and with all leverage at the negotiation table why would you bend to a promoter who not only owes you money, but has gone on 5yr campaign of lies and excuses as to why the fight hasn't been made to make you look bad. *Then with that not being enough, try to sabotage your fights in the press by belittling your opponents and trying to hurt your reputation but MOST importantly your bottom line. Mayweather compromised already and got told **** you just from one demand.. so then the next round of fights happen and Mayweather won so he said **** them.
