Of course, flotards are quietly celebrating. They don't have to come up with brand new excuses for their idol. ;-)

With Arum not being involved, why would Haymon not want to work with him? You're desperate and you're reaching. BIG TIME.
Sorry, forgot to mention I also considered Manny's loyalty to Bob for helping to bring him to superstardom in my arguement. You know Manny and Bob are like Floyd and Al.

The idea that someone should leave their promotional company on the off-chance that a guy who has said he doesn't want the fight will fight him, is crazy.
Why can't you just accept that this isn't all about Floyd? Manny doesn't have to leave Arum, he can do what Cotto did when Cotto fought Floyd and Trout, and still goes back to Arum. He doesn't even have to fight Floyd, he has more options on GBP side to fight as long he were willing to work with them without Arum being involved.

Do you really want to see?

          Pacquiao-Marquez V
          Pacquiao-Bradley III

          • I dunno why this is a Pac/Floyd thing. But then again, everything on here is. I honestly have up on that fight. Now ate there plenty of other fighters I wanna see Manny in the ring with? Absolutely. And none of them are with top rank. Top rank has no roster worth mentioning at 140-147 besides fighters Manny had fought at least twice. This is bad for boxing. No doubt about it imo.

Both camps are at fault in the past, but Floyd is the one who started it all and is currently the one holding this back. No Arum excuse after years of other excuses? And a no PPV revenue low ball offer? Ridiculous.

              • Who cares.....Floyd was never fighting Manny anyway..you guys think if he left Arum that Floyd would have made him a fair offer? PPV revenue? Let him wear his gloves lol???
If the damn Cold War could end we could see PAC vs Garcia at 140 for the belts. PAC vs Matthysee in a brutal war..PAC vs Sergio possibly at a catch weight of 155? PAC vs Broner? Please god yes on that one....
Haymon should be advising his clients to make the most money available..that would be against Manny.

Manny Pacquiao and a balanced check book is like an oxymoron.

I agree.. and especially now that Floyd has a BIGGER reason.. his money is guaranteed.. he can fight the maidana's and kahn's and guerreros.. he doesn't need manny.. on the other hand I think manny/bob are banking on somehow generating enough buzz with the samy recycled opponents.. and I'm a Marquez fan.

he's a ritch coward! and it's business.. that's why Floyd is Floyd and Manny is Manny.. both making enough money.. they're not gonna let one another force them into somewhat of a disadvantage or unfair split/payday.

What I'm alluding to is that Pacquiao resigning with TR has absolutely no bearing whether his fight with Floyd would ever fall through because it won't. Pacquiao can be a promotional free agent and that fight still wouldn't take place.

Honestly, I don't disagree with the notion of him being a promotional free agent. It opens up the possibility for more fights that people want to see. Pacquiao seems content with what TR is giving him. Hopefully the rift between the two promotional companies can be straigthened out so that fight fans can see Pacquiao in there with some fresh faces. Although they wouldn't necessarily be doing anything for his legacy.
You don't really know that. This is just your biased opinion. Here's a fact, Cotto did exactly what you stated and the fight with Floyd got made.
