I think it's BS tbh.

Yes, i think he started to believe his own hype. He probably though Groves would be a showcase fight for him and propell him even further as a self proclaimed "superstar" (that was not a tongue in cheek comment, even if he says so) What it has has done is help put on one of the biggest fights in history and peg him down a bit, which is the best thing that could have happened for Froch.
