I thought he fought the same as always. He trained for power and was slower, Pac showed up possessed, and because of those two circumstances Pac was catching him a lot and had done quite a number on Marquez.

Just because Marquez knocked him out doesn't make the fact Pac was beating him up any less true. Acknowledging this doesn't take away from the victory.

Actually, if they had both stayed awake through 10 or 12, it might have compared favorably to such fights as Castillo/Corrales 1, Ward/Gatti 1 and Barrera/Morales 1.

Man, I would hate to think of what long-term damage that would have on both - beating each other senseless for 10-12 rounds. I hope both retire before they get to where they lose some marbles.

The bottom line is it was a great fight, a total war, both beat the sht out of each other, Pac was ahead at the stoppage, Pac was knocked cold, both took something out of the other guy, their days in the sport are numbered, nothing wrong with a rematch unless someone can name a whole bunch of upcoming fights with the same drama and potential explosiveness that matches this series which they can't. I'd rather see them fight than watch some fights that fall way short of the buz they create. I'll still never forget how Trinidad vs Oscar should have been great and never was. Many others like that fight happen all the time where they fizzle out or a matchup never gets made. Bring on Pac vs Marquez for one final run, grab some popcorn and settle in to another great fight. Pending the outcome of Saturday's fight.

Seriously, there are some fights you can't talk about around here and this is one of them. No one wants to actually discuss it, either Pac was dominating and Marquez got lucky or Pac is **** and Marquez was never in trouble. No in between.
