I'm tired of the "Marquez was taking a beating"...

Very well said! Both guys were raking each other through HELL. If someone wants to pretend that the fight was a walk in the park for Marquez, or that Marquez was not taking a beating, well then they are entitled to their own delusion. It was a war that took something out of both guys as all wars tend to do. Aging and wars chip away at fighters, but wars expedite aging....they are not superhuman, just seem that way sometimes.I thought he fought the same as always. He trained for power and was slower, Pac showed up possessed, and because of those two circumstances Pac was catching him a lot and had done quite a number on Marquez. Just because Marquez knocked him out doesn't make the fact Pac was beating him up any less true. Acknowledging this doesn't take away from the victory.Last edited by richardt; 05-15-2014, 10:12 AM.Comment

THE GUY WENT TOE TO TOE WITH PAC and took his nuts by beating him at his own game what more could you want. If you Pac-craps ever want to see Pac nut sac go to JMM belt and trophy room it will be the one in the nice gold caseComment

The point is everytime this gets brought up it's to minimize the victory as if to say Pacquiao was going to ko Marquez anyways or he was going to dominate the rest of the fight. It's irrelevant because we've seen Marquez come back from much worse than this. You would also have to ignore all the straight rights Marquez was landing on Pacquiao to think this fight was one sided. Pacquioa had a huge round 5( the last minute to be exact) and the rest of the fight was a war, as Roy Jones put it "step back toe to toe".Comment

Beautiful how those are basically the same 2 punches from opposite stances. I remember my brother trying to tell me that the Sergio punch was luck smh. Once i walked him through the footage, he understood that he was setting up and landing that punch prior to the KO.Comment

I am a Pacfan and I have no intention of diminishing JMM's win, in fact I am a vanguard and IMHO is the biggest win/Ko of the decade....The point is everytime this gets brought up it's to minimize the victory as if to say Pacquiao was going to ko Marquez anyways or he was going to dominate the rest of the fight. I have to admit as well it was the most exciting fight of the series complete with the ups/down, as a pacfan I could smell the victory and I was almost sure we will get the KO that we were waiting since round 1 of the first fight, Pac could have won the fight 1-2 more rounds but JMM beat him to it and knock him out cold...
not to many people want to see it but I am in for a 5th fight, I want another shot with Dinamita, we do not mind if Pac's gets KTFO again but we want our shot lolz hehe...Comment
