They said at the end if the 9th that it could be a candidate if that action kept up. That was all they said on the matter from what I can remember.

What was good about it? Alvorado threw away the first 6 rds, then fought in spots the rest of the way. Like I said, it had it's moments. Alvorado hurt Marquez at the end of the 11th, then circled back and forth out of range for the lat 15 seconds...Comment

That was a damn good fight. I'm sorry. Alvarado tried to box because he would of got KTFO if he tried to fight all 12 rounds like he did in the 9th.
Marquez was letting off combinations every time he closed the distance and was out of the way before Alvarado could get set. There was nothing he could do.Comment

Well, we knew the class difference on the way in-- It was that failure to launch with his hands glues to his head from the opening bell. Part of that is undoubtedly respect for JMM's ability to counter, part of that might have been from a Provo hangover, but he wan't going to win by letting JMM dictate things from the opening bell through round 6.Comment

What was great about the Matthysse-Molina fight? Molina did little after the second knockdown but get the **** kicked out of him.Comment

Both fights looked like one sided mismatches with the exception of a knockdown. Matthysse was more enjoyable though because of his power and getting the knockout. Neither should be FOTY.Comment
