HBO Crew Said Marquez vs Alvorado Was Competing With Matthysse vs Molina For FOTY

Did anyone else hear that? That fight fucking ****** for the most part.

They kept calling it a war, yet Alvorado even when he was more aggressive only fought in spots.

Ever since Showtime arrived as the leader in boxing telecast they do everything they can to combat it. Even with blatant bias. Kellerman's bias towards guys like Provo, Lampley's complete ****ting on Maidana before the Mayweather fight, etc.

HBO is losing it IMO. Wish ESPN would step up and take over.

in no way was that fight a FOTY candidate. maybe there is a round of the year candidate somewhere but nowhere near FOTY candidate.

i enjoyed it though.

I did too, but it doesn't change the fact that Alvorado wrecked the fight. As vulnerable as Marquez is and has shown to be that fight could have been great. It showed that in moments, but Alvorado who IMO was never very good, is gun shy now.
