    Sorry.

Mayweather has 3 out of 4 biggest grossing live gates now though, more than Tyson, Holyfield, Delahoya, etc.

Just something for people that actually care about numbers to consider.

I am just interested in the reasons why manny is averaging less than 600k (again if the numbers are true) for his last 2 fights and floyd is at about 850k in his last 2 non Canelo fights.
manny?? so floyd's numbers didnt drop also? LOL.

        Not as drastically, no.

I didn't count the Canelo fight. if we count that fight, floyd's average for his last 2 are above 1.5 mil. thats not a drop.

I would think the Floyd budget has already been set aside and is different from their regular boxing budget. It might make them think about spending 3.3 million on an under card though, unless it can actually bring something to the table financially.

u said manny getting KO is prolly why his stock dropped. so why did floyd's ppv dropped also then? i mean if ur gonna sit there and assume why the manny's ppv is going down, make sure u get at the other guy too.. and keep in mind pac never i repeat never had "the most expensive under card ever" to back him up lmao!

You could also argue a classic demand curve is at play, as price goes up demand goes down that would be the simplest economic explanation and there were no factors at play that were altering that slope in a positive way, if anything the negative preconceived ideas about the fight only made the issue worse.

I listed several things that could have caused it. I left the Canelo fight out to make the comparison fairer for manny. when included, The other guys ppv's haven't gone down. His 2 fight average is consistent, while Manny's 2 fight average has decreased significantly.

Maybe that is part of it-floyd is giving people more for their money with the undercards.

actually u didnt list anything that could have caused floyd's ppv to go down. if u did, i would like to hear it again? and ur last sentence is prolly the reasons why his numbers hasnt drop down as much as manny. imagine if khan/broner wasnt on the under card.

With regard to the whole undercard thing, why would the Mayweather fanatics bring that up? They constantly talk about how much stronger the Mayweather cards are compared to the Top Rank cards. And they're right about this.

But isn't the implication that Manny is generating his numbers in the absence of a decent support act, whereas Floyd is not? In other words, Pac sold his 700k largely by himself, while Floyd sold his 850k with the help of Khan and Broner.

That would indicate that the drawing power of the two is actually pretty close, which isn't the point they're trying to make I take it.
