I still think it has more to do with ppv pricing. Its one thing to pay $49.95 for what appears is a mediocre fight. When the price is $64 or $74.95, then you tend to think more about purchasing.

Very valid point. That's on Showtime's shoulders. Mayweather brought 850K (at least) to buy his fight vs. Maidana. I don't know how much more you can ask from him.

Showtime are taking hits with this contract.

Some Floyd fans on here are taking it personal. He aint giving you any money no matter the numbers..relax a little.

WHat fights will not get made as a result of showtime paying floyd this much?

CBS has more resources they can divert to showtime if there is a fight to be made.

That was a low number. I'm quite surprised as I've read here on boxingscene that Floyd is a major draw.

the price has been at $60+ for their last couple fights, so its not like it just went up from $49 to $60-70 over night, and they both was still doing better numbers then. The price is not so much the problem here, we know people will pay if its something they really want to see. its the match ups that is turning the people off IMO.

Not overnight but its been gradual and maybe its turning fans off. Maybe it was just Manny getting KO'd.

I am just interested in the reasons why manny is averaging less than 600k (again if the numbers are true) for his last 2 fights and floyd is at about 850k in his last 2 non Canelo fights.
