Floyd fought the wrong fight from the start of the fight.

The rematch will be a lot different u'll see the old floyd from canelo and guerrero fight on his toes and box Maidana.
He won't really be able to. He had his moments in spurts where he did against Maidana, but Maidana knows how to cut off the ring and use his weight to trap Floyd against the ropes. The only thing that Floyd did wrong was that he waited too long and didn't thrown the jab enough to set up his offense and didn't used it to kept Maidana from getting off first. I really thought he would've studied the Broner fight enough to recognized that type of mistake, and he made the exact mistake too, but he adjusted better than Broner did and edged out Maidana to a 7-5 type of fight.

If he choose to box with Khan, Khan's speed will him problems and he won't be able to get off first since he'd be slower than Khan, but he still has enough timing to catch Khan. Styles make fights. At 37 years old and against Khan, Floyd would play the role of the bull to Khan's matador. He'd be the one forcing an inside fight[Khan's main weakness].

Floyd looked just as fast as he normally does, he was in the ring against a guy 20 pounds heavier who was stronger than him who brought the RIGHT STYLE to win. The blueprint is out there now and I fully expect Floyd to dodge a rematch at all costs and probably retire to make sure the rematch isn't demanded by the public.
I bet all your points Floyd fights Maidana next.

I agree that some aren't giving Maidana enough credit, but you aren't giving Floyd any respect either.

According to your view of the fight, Floyd should be given credit for taking the fight, weathering the storm, digging down and getting a tough victory. Instead, he's already a coward ducking a rematch?

Well in that case why did you say it was a mismatch then before the fight?

Seems everyone's in "I told you so" mode now bit before the fight barely any of you actually said any of this.

It was Maidana's ugly style, he didn't let Mayweather get off like he's used do doing. He used every bit of his size advantage, and rough housing to make the fight difficult. He knew he couldn't outbox him, which was clearly evident when they were in the center of the ring. People can knock Floyd all they want but he showed a lot of heart by fighting Maidana's fight.

The only one I kinda remember cheering on Maidana emphatically way before the fight was that user Golovkin. He was going nuts.

Yeah, even a prime Floyd would have had all he could handle with a prime, aggressive, puncher like Maidana but he also would have defeated him more easily.

Floyd rarely stayed against the Ropes against Canelo, he fought the majority of that fight on his toes and rarely laid on the ropes. He didn't fight much better than Broner. All you diehard Floyd fans got to realize if he keeps fighting he will eventually lose.
Who wouldnt? Sure Floyd is getting older and anyone who keeps aging and continues to fight will eventually get beat. But I still think he has got a while to go before he slips that bad. He has shown signs of age but his pure skill and ring intelligence have carried him far, even since the Cotto fight when he first started showing signs of aging. After last night's performance facing an unpredictable, fearless, and relentless young challenger, he still showed that he is able to adapt to any type of fight and pull of the W, which is what made him so good to begin with. I honestly think Floyd is one of the few fighters out there who will realize the time to retire before he ends up getting beat.

Thank You dude, Floyd also allowed Maidana to get off first just like Broner did. I too thought he would recognize this mistake. If he had fought the same way he did against Canelo or Cotto he would have had an easier time with Maidana. Not only did he look old but his strategy was complete garbage.
