Mayweather won the fight but it was tough which I expected.

I had it 8-4 Mayweather but quite a few close rounds.

Floyd take ur biggest spy day with PAC and retire . U may not be so lucky next time getting the wrong decision in ur favour

Seriously some of the explanations on here are ridiculous. Floyd got his usual taken away from him and had to be resourceful. Let's not pretend he was on those ropes voluntarily. Both men fought one hell of a fight..fight was a marginal call..could've gone either way if you take aside all the preconceived notions on each man. All bullshhh aside Maidana did do work in the middle of the ring not just on the ropes which folks here aren't admitting to and that's fine. Floyd got nasty with them uppercuts on the inside which people ain't giving him credit for. And to those with the Maidana won by 117-111 cut that shhhh out..this fight was 115-113 or 114-114 at best to either man...same goes to the folks in here trying to argue Floyd swept every round that second half..cut that shhh out put the bullshh aside. Go back and watch Floyd's face he didn't know how that was gonna pan out. Give both these men their damned respect for a hell of a showing. That was as close a fight as i've ever f'ing seen.

Not by much while throwing twice as much. Dont use half the info. Who landed more punches at a much higher percentage?

I'm a Mayweather fan but I had Maidana, who is hard to dislike, winning the fight. In my mind, Floyd's just didn't do enough to win a lot of the close rounds. It's difficult to favor a handful of clean punches over effective control of the pace and location of the action. I can understand the score card of the judge who had this fight a draw, but the other two judges must have been watching a replay of the Canelo fight.

Maidana proved that heart and conviction can mean just as much as skill and athleticism. Per my post earlier today, I'm not at all surprised that Maidana proved to be the fighter willing to execute the aggressive strategy that other Floyd opponents like Canelo simply weren't. I am, however, surprised that Floyd wasn't willing and able to rise to the occasion. I thought he did that against Cotto, but against Maidana he looked frustrated and at times disengaged.

It's going to be interesting to see what Floyd decides to do next. I think there will be a lot of pressure for a rematch, but if Floyd goes that route, he's going to have to figure out how to blunt Maidana's aggression or he's going to see the same type of fight and probably the same outcome.

I don't want to see a rematch though, I think FMJ would win that easy.
Since when is workrate apart of scoring a fight. Last time I checked it was clean punching, defense, effective aggression, and ring generalship.

U can throw punches all day but if u aint landing **** it dont mean ****!

You'd be hard pressed to find many clean shots Chino landed after round 6.

Floyd turned up the 2nd half, adjusted while on the ropes. Everyone is looking past the body shots Floyd landed, especially the 2nd half.

                    115-113 Floyd. Floyd won the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. If you give Maidana the 5th, it would be a draw.

I couldn't give Maidana anything in the 2nd half aside from the 8th though, not many clean shots were landed, while Floyd was tagging him often.

For the record, Floyd won this fight!!!!!! Whether you had him winning by one point or six points, Floyd won! I personally had Maidana up 4-2 in rounds, but had Floyd winning the last six rounds.

There will be a rematch. However, like the Castillo fight, the haters will pretend like the second fight never happened and will continue to claim that Floyd lost this fight.
Floyd got schooled by a B fighter jag off. Greatest ever? no fn way. Get glasses.
