    floyd = 32m

    the rest are getting around 10m combined (whole undercard)

    that is 42m to pay the fighters, promotion costs also need to be factored

    also golden boy charge a flat fee, last I heard it was 3 million?

    they will end up needing around 60m worth of revenue to make it work

    remember out of every ppv , 5-10 percent goes to the provider

    I would think it would be around the same as guerrero numbers, remember, it needed 1.2m to break even I think, showtime lost around 20m it it doing the buys it did, so it needs to do around 250-300k better than floyd vs gur to make it work

    floyd got pretty much nothing as a ppv bonus vs gur, so he needs the numbers big to get anything other than his gurantee

      I get paid by neither, so I measure the success of the fight by the actual fight in the ring, not PPV numbers that I should´t concern myself with.

          C'mon, Floyd doesn't mind the 32mil flat fee to fight someone like maidana.

            Always heard the PPV distributors take 50% of the PPV money right off the top. So @ 1m buys, you have about $70m but only clear $35m

            The gate is supposed to be about $15m, but to figure it all out you would need to know how much is spent on promotion (press conf, all access, commericals, etc, etc) and how much comes in via sponsorship.

            Plus you have to figure out who the various costs are attributed to...do you consider the fighter salaries a cost to SHO or to the promoter?

              Floyd needs the PPV bonus because 32 million isn't enough?

                Showtime is the provider isn't it?

                    Guys. This is not about the purses. I want to know the amount of buys that makes it a success. Both for Showtime and in comparison with Pac's fight and Floyds standard.

                      Put it like this. Kessler would have to fight King Kong on ppv in order for Kessler to equal 1 Floyd ppv. This thread has Pacquiao Kessler overtones written all over it.
