The comparison to Taylor-Chavez is not as close as the comparison to Whitaker-Chavez when it comes to complete boxing skills. Mayweather has every bit the skill, speed and technical ability that Pernell had...who I think beat Chavez.

When you add to this that Mayweather punches harder than Whitaker and is a better body puncher and inside fighter than Whitaker was, then I think Chavez would lose. The only guy I think that gives Mayweather something to really think about is Roberto Duran at welter.

Pernell had intangibles that Mayweather does not have. Strongest legs on a fighter I've seen around his weight, better defensively, craftier in general...

Funny he brings about the strenght of schedule in a Chavez vs Floyd debate. Who the hell has Floyd beat? Castillo once (he at best got a draw against him the first time) and Corrales. Chavez?
