He proved uppercuts, combos, feinting, swarming etc to be near-worthless (in the case of his opponents) and unnecessary (in the case of himself). Thus by his perfect minimalistic-seeming technique he actually shows how bad previous generations of boxers were who could win with such techniques like feinting and combos.

Wladimir is the blueprint for what strategies work (in his case) and don't work (in his opponents' case). Wladimir Klitschko is the measuring stick for champions of the past and future.
Wlad laid down the blueprint of what it is to be a perfect, invincible heavyweight.......... against Alex Leapai.

So your best evidence against Ali is a loss way past his prime?

      • Wladimir Klitschko:

He would knock Ali out in less rounds than he knocked Leapai out in according to weltzshcmerz,

          • Leapai's clearly a HOF resident in waiting, and it's a testament to Wlad's supremacy that he was able to overcome such a worthy challenger.

But of course Ali was 30 pounds lighter in his prime, which as we all know, means he's a worse fighter so I guess it makes sense.

                Leapai was 245 pounds!

Compare that to midget Joe Frazier (215) and Ali (210) and you have yourself a legendary win.

Ali was around Haye's weight in his prime I believe. You think his rope a dope would work against Wladimir. Wlad would knock his ass back to Louisville.

Ive always thought wlad would have given the post prison ali that lost his dazzling footspeed fits but a young ali would have boxed circles around wlad and this is coming from a wlad fan

Should Haye be in the HOF this year or next? I see no reason to wait.
