What Tommy Hearns has there been at welterweight besides Tommy Hearns? So you're making a thread complaining that Floyd Mayweather hasn't fought a freakishly big welterweight with damn good skill and terrific power? Well, not many have.

So what fighters do you qualify as "real" welterweights?

Mayweather fought De La Hoya. De La Hoya is 5'10 and big for 147.

You don't consider Oscar a "real" welter because he fought at lightweight and 140 before??

Pacman has had a bit of an easy road too, just Floyd is more relevant atm

Your argument falls to pieces because it assumes that Floyd Mayweather and even Manny Pacquaio are the same size as their opponents. Or you assume that they are usually bigger. But neither situation is the case the majority of the times.

Most of Floyd's opponents outweigh him by 10+ lbs or higher on fight night. Even the guys like Duran, Leonard, Hearns didn't consistently fight guys that were bigger than them by so much. But they had better competition boxing skill wise.

I'm a Floyd fan yet people that hate him make more threads about him than people such as myself. Sad.

Also Mayweather fought Canelo, who is huge. Bigger than Hearns weight wise I think.

Now you're shifting the goal posts.

First you say Mayweather hasn't beaten any "real" welters. I mention Mosley and de la Hoya and your response is that they were "past it". Does being "past it" disqualify them from being "real" welterweights?

And as far as the "past it" arguemt is concerned, Mosley was the #1 welter in the world when Floyd beat him and Oscar was the #1 or #2 154lb'er...

                Get your lies straight...

someone tell me WTF is a "true" welterweight? sounds like BS to me. Im so sick of the size talk from both sides. Mosley was welterweight size. Guerrero too. Judah was the recognized champ at welter--was he not "true" enough?

A lot of fighters past and present start out at lower weights and move up.

You need to remove Duran from that sentence for it to be correct
