The Ring belt wasn't on the line when Mosley fought Margarito as Cotto was still ranked second. They didn't make an exception to let Mosley who was ranked 3rd or 4th at the time, fight for the belt. So he wasn't lineal by any means when Floyd fought him.

Ring and lineal are two different things.

Ortiz was 164 against Floyd, if I remember correctly.

I like it, its good motivation... I rest when they rest, I work when they work, and I try to keep up with the tempo of the fight... Makes it fun.
My brothers and I would always box to Delahoya/Mosley and Tito vs Vargas

So this is how we judge who is a real welterweight now, if Floyd fights them they are clearly not a welterweight at least at that moment in time.

The guys Floyd didn't fight are the real welterweights.

Good reasoning, count me as on board lol.
