Uh, what? If you had Floyd's head movement and defense you'd own people in a street fight.

There's even video out there of a guy going around to random Joes on the street and letting them take free shots at him. They never land anything because he is so good at moving his head.

That doesn't mean he can't grapple. It's not like MMA fighters that prefer to strike can't grappler. Any decent MMA fighter is an EXCELLENT grappler. Rampage has great takedown defence, good takedowns, and some of the best slams in MMA history.

I consider any form of combat as fighting but real fighting to me...is to be able to utilize every possession a man has without any rules and MMA itself doesn't even cut it.

I admit I wasn't aware of the context in which it was stated, but my point remains, it's still a dumb thing to publicly say. She could have just said, "we fight in different sports," and left it at that. Now Joe Rogan is going around juicing that statement to garner some publicity for the UFC. Also, this is the same chick that said she'd beat Cain freakin' Velasquez. Now, if you want to believe and put importance to the notion that she'd beat Floyd in a MMA match go right ahead, but to think she wouldn't get brutally impaled by Cain (somebody actually in her sport) in a matter of seconds is just foolish.

I meant full-on "fight", as in 2 guys trying to kill each other (taking each other down), not a ceremonial bareknuckle match. Floyd's head movement wouldn't really be relevant since he would be so effortlessly thrown on the ground with his boxing style.

I love boxing but even on the street it is a very trusting, ceremonial thing for two guys to "settle" something. It shouldn't be confused for a serious fighting system.

He can wrestle but he's not much of a submission fighter.

If for some crazy reason you had to limit yourself to learning one skill for a "street fight", wrestling would probably be the best since its all about dominant position.

BJJ is almost as bad as boxing in its assumptions that your opponent will "play by the same rules" (aka not just knee your balls off/claw your eyes out when you have them in the guard).
