Although I respect the sport a lot, it's hard to get around the fact that it involves more grappling than actual striking yet is still the act of fighting between fighters. Maybe they should look up the definition of "fighter".

Also their very blatant disrespect of the sport of boxing goes against the teachings of the pioneer of mma himself; the man, the myth, Bruce Lee. Bruce not only praised boxing but used it as a staple in his art.

To make a long story short; don't mind them, they're ******. Boxing is the greatest combat sport on earth whether they like it or not.
I cringe every time anyone says Bruce Lee is somehow "the father/pioneer/inventor" of MMA. They had "MMA" throughout the ancient and medieval world. Two guys fighting with minimal rules like in Pankration isn't new. McDojos and strict disciplines were just a brief trend.

It was actually Kung Fu actors like Bruce Lee who destroyed martial arts and turned them into some lame yoga bull**** so everyone forgot real fighting existed for a couple generations.

Despite being part of the problem, he once threw a bone to actual martial arts by saying grappling and boxing probably work better in a real fight than doing cartwheels and making cat noises, thus became "the father of MMA" and a "rebel against fake martial arts"... even though his career consisted of doing cartwheels and making cat noises on a movie set and a couple of rigged "exhibitions".

One thing is for sure I'd like to see Toney, Floyd, Rampage, Rousey, Weidman, Wlad, the whole gang travel back in time and take turns beating up Bruce Lee before he can sell his new age bull**** to people then "heroically rebel" against the bull**** he popularized and become the "pioneer" of something that already existed prior.

Man, after Mo I want to fight Toney next. Actually, I want to fight him in his own sport. I want to face him in a boxing match, and then come back to MMA. We already saw he sucks at MMA, so I’ll beat him at his own sport to shut his ass up. I don’t think boxers should even be called fighters. Just call them boxers, because they don’t have the skills of real fighters like mixed martial artists.

        Thoughts?
Rampage sounds jealous. MMA guys make no money and I think a lot of them are bitter.

Lets not call MMA guys fighters either. Its a discredit to true no holds barred street fighters who are allowed to bit, pull hair and knee in the testes.

but in all honesty who would actually do that though in a real street fight? i rather take a lost than to start pulling dudes hair or start biting him LOL! unless its a life or death situation where i need to do so in order to live LOL.

UFC arent fighters either. UFC is a sport. Fighting has no rules.

Why is it almost every MMA fight is now stopped with strikes and not submissions?

I saw one UFC fight, all the undercards, the one where Anderson Silva fights some undefeated Japanese middleweight, and defeats him. Every single fight was decided on strikes, not submissions.

Boxers would obviously slaughter MMA fighters in strikes. And look at an old out of shape Mayorgas success in MMA. The superior speed, footwork, and especially conditioning, might mean a boxer would actually be the one to win a fight with some MMA redneck.

Statistically about even numbers of UFC fights end in submission or strikes, but those strikes include strikes on the ground, kicks, etc. A boxer could only reliably use their boxing in MMA if they first learned how to defend against takedowns and submissions (aka become an MMA fighter).

Mayorga has had no success in MMA, I don't know where you heard that. He is 1-3 at some extremely low budget "toughman" level events without pay. He has done really badly... Probably worse than a random guy off the street.

Rampage is black so I don't know why you would say "MMA rednecks" but that kind of shows what your agenda is. Let me guess you don't like boxing divisions with Russian/Ukrainian champs either.

Funny considering he was thinking of making a boxing career... don't think this is completely true, considering he is a stand up fight who rarely goes to the ground if at all.
