Rampage Jackson is ignorant as fck about Martial Arts.
Anybody who engages in combat is a fighter.
By his own definition nobody who practices anything other than MMA is a fighter. If you're a judoka you're not a fighter, you're a judoka. If you're a Muay Thai boxer you're not a fighter, just a Muay Thai boxer.
Does this ***** even realize how ******ed he sounds?
2 years ago I tried MMA. I was partnered up with a bald guy and the only thing I learned throughout that MMA class was how bad a man's feet can smell if it hasn't been properly washed. I never did MMA since then.
Seriously how some men can allow another man to wrap his legs around their necks and smell each other between the legs and sweat all over each other and facepalm each others stinky feet is beyond me. And now they wanna say boxing aint fighting lmao.
Says the guy that always just wanted to throw hands, and would complain about guys not standing and throwing punches with him. This fool hates all the other aspects of MMA.
Last time I checked there are rules in MMA as well. This argument is tired and old. Its like saying badminton players are better than tennis players and golf players. These people are experts at there craft. Lets just leave it at that.
In real street fights people don't do weigh ins, drug tests nor fight with gloves, so what are they then? lol. That makes MMA fighters Mixed Martial Artists ONLY and not fighters, because what's more of a real fight than two dudes going at it in a back alley?
Punching someone in the face is fighting them, so boxing is fighting.
Funny thing is MMA incorporates boxing as its a martial art and they all train in it, so don't **** where you eat.
Yes Jackson don't call them fighters, but one thing that you CAN call them even a fringe belt holder is "LOADED". I swear some of their undercard guys even for top companies make 10k. That's not even FNF money for boxers lol.
Leo Santa Cruz who is an amazing talent, but not a superstar. His payday of 500k last fight exceeds the payroll of the whole roster on a particular event. I sometimes think this all comes from jealousy of how boxers who dont always have to fight tough opponents can be multi-millionaires and they don't have to suck off the promoter to stay on his good side in fact the promoter works for the boxer. Also how "boxing gonna die" b.s rant they had going when they were at the height of their popularity didn't work out did it?
Finally, i am a boxing purist, but enjoy all combat sports and know Jackson to be an accomplished guy in his sport, but this was pretty lame from him.
This is the same guy who complained about his opponents not being able to stood toe-to-toe and exchange punches with him after they frustrated him with kicks and takedown, and at one point wanted to be a boxer.
Exactly.
I used to be a fan of rampage when I actually watched UFC way back in its first years, but what a foolish thing to say. Rampage made a name for himself basically boxing and then wanted to switch over once he was shot and now he wants to talk trash, if he went a few rounds with any decent boxer, any boxer who is willing to ****, Rampage would get stopped or would just survive a mauling like Broner did.
MMA guys trying to attach themselves to boxing for more publicity lmao. This fad is dying out I remember when they tried saying it was taking over boxing
a boxing match is a fight, rampage. you don't hear any boxers saying "mma fighters shouldn't be called fighters because all they do is grab ass. they should be called ass grabbers. "
