They never asked Floyd about 45 or 50 they just threw that out to the media, Floyd would have refused but they never really made that play, if they did at least that would be a counter offer but Floyd was clearly the a-side by that point so he was calling the shots. That is a false equivalency
You have a short memory but before Floyd opened his mouth this was a non-issue. We all thought that since Manny accepted the PEDs testing that there would be no issue. We all thought that this was a 50/50 revenue sharing deal. Only once Floyd brought it up did the Floyd fans say what you are saying ..... even then, the first few times we heard it was just a rumor and you Floyd fans said "We need to hear it from Floyd or else it's not true"
Again, be truthful. When Floyd made that statement, EVERYONE WAS SHOCKED! After all that time where Floyd kept on saying "TAKE THE TEST AND WE HAVE A FIGHT" to a new roadblock. If I was a Floyd fan at that point, Floyd would have lost me as a fan so fast!

After 2011, Floyd may have had a slight edge but not to the extent that you are suggesting. So a serious offer should have been made from the get go IF FLOYD REALLY WANTED THE FIGHT ON .... but he didn't!

Maybe you have a very short memory but back then Floyd fans were confused and couldn't believe that Floyd went and did what we Manny fans said that he would do. That is, once Manny would accept roadblock #1, Floyd would come back with roadblock #2.
THE TRUTH: EVERYONE was SHOCKED at those statements that came from Floyd. That is the honest truth. PEDS was the issue and now it's money? No spinning ...... facts!
It took a week or two then the die-hard Floyd fans started to defend Floyd's new roadblock.

I don't put much stock in anything that Floyd says, the only reason the 40 million thing is worth talking about somewhat is both sides tell the same story essentially. Lots of other stuff you are talking about is he said/she said stuff from either side that has little to no meaning other than posturing

FACEOFF: You sound like Bradley but everyone is agreeing with Max Kellerman
"You won 8-4? Bradley? You are Bradley? ....."
"you think Floyd should get ALL PPV MONEY? Floyd? ...."

I think it was fair because back then I did the numbers and 60/40 was not totally out there based on the numbers floating around and the biggest fight ever (at that point) had the fighters splitting roughly 80 million so them splitting 100 million would be pretty damn good, now he could obviously get a better deal that being the opening offer so I wouldn't call it good but for what it was it was a fair starting point.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 04-18-2014, 08:27 AM.

that's the whole point of random testing to keep fighters clean they have a list of things they can take and not take if manny was on something on that usada list then i can see why he walked away from 50/50.
