the problem i have with marquez is without pacman he would still be the journeymen fighter he once was, before pac allowed him to shine.

pac gave him the chance at featherweight, and it was a debated decision....

marquez and bernstein chose to fight chris john for 50k and lose when they were offered big money for lighterweight fighters for the rematch

marquez priced himself out

when they had number 3 again pac gave marquez the opportunity again it was a debated decision.

again pac gave marquez another chance in number 4. marquez won by knockout

i know not a pacman fan really i am keeping it honest but manny was the draw in all 4 fights - now marquez has the opportunity to give pacman a chance to avenge his defeat exactly like pac did to marquez

marquez has become a ducker - he doesn't want to get beat by manny (imo manny would tko him) and he ducked ruslan to fight mike alvarado

marquez is ducking and using every excuse in the book - if he wants the 5th title he has to face pacman

Pacquiao/Marquez was stale for me after the 3rd fight but Marquez knocking Manny out has made their rivalry interesting again.

Marquez is one funny dude, when he got the losing end of it it was I want a rematch nonstop. Once he got the win he just closed the door and never opened it again .

It's a nice thing to take to retirement with you. It fits his narrative (robbed, robbed, robbed, then I won!), even if I don't agree with that narrative. Besides he's as rich as can be and has plenty of options back in Mexico. Unless there was a big enough pile of money...

Simple. Marquez knows Pacquiao was winning every round until he hit his lottery punch, Marquez knows he'd get either UD'd or KO'd if they fight again.

Preposterous - winning every round. At best after 5 rounds, Pacquiao was leading 3-2.
