If Maidana catchs Floyd he could hurt him. Will he stop him? I very much doubt it.
But, It's going to be a good fight. Maidana will have no respect for Floyd, he'll force the fight with genuine power in both hands.
Can't wait, myself.Comment

Uhhh, you know Floyd hasn't stopped anyone in about 7 years? (Unless you count hitting that bonehead Ortiz). Maidana is a tough dude, with a helluva chin. Also, Floyd hasn't seen a fighter with Maidana's awkwardness. The punches come from odd angles, and Maidana pounds your arms and hands when you back up (something Canelo didn't do).
If Maidana aborts the jab, and doesn't set up some work--we see the Devon fight. If he sets up some action Floyd can get caught. Floyd's legs aren't what they used to beat. He's been relying on a bit more offense in the pocket, and tucking away more than moving as of late.
I'm in the minority but I think a guy with freakish power (Maidana) or a guy with comparable speed (khan) are the only two that can maybe (maybe!) hang with Floyd. I commend Floyd for fighting Maidana. It's a tougher fight than most of know-nothing's think around here.
But, Floyd ain't stopping ****. That ship has sailed.Comment

Maidana is coming to get Floyd, mark my words. HE will hurt him at some point and make this fight tough as hell for him. He may not win, but this will be Floyd's toughest fight since Cotto and unlike Cotto Chino won't be spent past round 8.
The real question is will Chino get the credit he deserves for putting on a tough fight win or lose or will people simply try and say it was because Floyd got old. Time will tell, but trust me, Chino is coming to beat the **** out of Floyd and he very well may get it done.Comment
