I've got nothing against Castillo, he's an excellent fighter for me and in my eyes deserved the decision against an injured Mayweather.

But Ricky Hatton is on another planet as far as I'm concerned, and this is coming from the only guy on the forum who has been ringside at Hatton amateur fights so I think I'm best qualified to judge. I don't think many here at all have ever seen any Hatton fight outside of his last two fights, that's why this poll is laughable.

He said Cotto is MORE accomplished... meaning he's accomplished more. Cotto is the more accomplished fighter. He didn't say anything about Kostya in that statement but you spun it around to mention Kostya (old man) to bolster a bias you have towards Hatton.

I didn't bother to argue the "more accomplished" part because I just didn't think it was necessary. I don't regard Cotto's WBO title as being superior to the legitimate, linear IBF title that Hatton won from the last undisputed champion, making him the legitimate champion of the world. Cotto is an alphabet soup titlist who has been dropped and had serious spaghetti legs in 2 of his last 3 fights, against solid but not championship level opposition...nowhere near the level of a Kostya Tszyu.

You're saying "what if?" and I'm telling you my opinion based on what has actually happened. Not fantasy scenarios.

Cotto won his WBO title by beating Pinto. If that's not an alphabet title then I don't know what is. I just don't rate being a WBO titlist as being a greater accomplishment than the legitimate championship of the world.

I'm not saying Cotto is garbage. He's a dangerous fighter who has shown he has a lot of toughness and recuperative powers. And I love the way he goes to the body. I just don't think from the trouble he's had with the mid-level fighters that he will be able to beat Hatton, Mayweather, etc.

And by the way, you're simply incorrect about that being Kostya's longest layoff. He was off longer before the Mitchell fight- where he came out and destroyed. So think up another excuse.
