Got to go with Castillo on this one. Castillo is a much better defensive fighter than Hatton I think.

If you watch all of Hatton's fights and tell me that Hatton isn't skilled, then you just don't see the angles, the screw uppercuts, variation of defence. You don't see the triple left hook in under a second, the four punch combinations with his left hand or the well timed and perfectly placed left hook to the body. Then, you must be blind.
Triple left hook in under a second? Wow, I must be blind because I've never seen that. Apparently Hatton has the best hand speed in boxing, I know there definately isn't anyone else who could throw a triple left hook in under a second.

Level of opposition, number of fights, and many other factors would make Castillo the pick in this one. Hatton would put up a fight but in the end Castillo would have the W

Castillo doesn't have the skills, just strength and heart. And he's getting old. Every time he goes up another pound, his pound-for-pound ranking drops 5....

JLC would beat him at his own game. I serously doubt Hatton will hurt him badly, and he'd walk his ass down throught the fight.

You people think Hatton presses the action nonstop....shiiiiiiiiit. You'd see him backpeddling a tad because he is not going to impose his will on the Mexican.

                No way.

If hatton wants to fight the best then he should fight castillo cause i think he is one of the best fighters at 135-140 right now and who ever disagrees is ****** and should just stop watching boxing...

I want to see castillo fight he is a entertaining fighter!!!!! i think he beat mayweather in the 1st fight... IMO but both mayweather and him are great fighters... Hatton is ready for none of them.. IMO

Castillo based on better opposition.Castillo has fought Paez,Bazan,Johnston,Mayweather,Lazcano,Diaz,Corral es,and the list goes on,and you can make an argument that most of these fighters were in their prime the time they faced Castillo.I heard he may face Cotto sometime this year to,wow.I like Hatton but he fights the easiest known fighters in boxing like an old Ray Oliviera,Ben Tackie, old Vince Phillips, paper champ at the time Carlos Maussa.Yeah.he dethoned a past his prime Kostya Tszyu but I have no doubt that Castillo would have done the same, maybe even punished Tszyu more for beating up his mentor Julio Cesar Chavez.

If the two fought,Castillo would knock Hatton out!Hatton gets too reckless and with Castillo's composure he'd cut Hatton with a hook and break him down and stop him late.
