Pac's resume is better then Floyd's and do you even know who Duran fought?

In a decade or 2 Floyd will be remembered as a great defensive technician but he decided to not fight the best and took too many convenient holidays/retirements to duck fighters.

    this right here,

Shouldn't it be more about what they did right before he fought them??

I do respect Floyd but he has become a calculated risk taker. I don't like that part about him and won't pretend to. Oscar or Shane at their peaks would have merked Floyd.

He wanted to fight both of them and THEY were the ones that wouldn't take the fight, so how can he be blamed for that?

Protecting yourself in the ring is great. Its the protecting yourself out of the ring i.e. not taking dangerous fights that earns him disrespect.

For all the posters who are still disrespecting floyd and giving me red k's ...as a boxer myself, it is extremely hard to do what he does, the ring is not a football field where you can run and the counter punches he throws with accuracy are unreal. Boxing is not about who is the toughest, its about skill, ring generalship and a good mentally strong mind. It is extremely hard not to get swayed by the crowd, but floyd does it time after time. btw Mayweather isn't my favourite fighter , the point of this thread is to not let his personality get in his way. I respect all fighter who put on gloves, it is not an easy job. trust me, If these guys could get paid some other way they probably wouldn't box. It takes extreme mental focus and confidence to step into the ring. we should be boxing fans first and then a fighters fan.
