    Time to Respect Floyd Mayweather

Why do so many posters on here hate on Floyd. I have been seeing threads where Pacquiao, Duran and even Chavez ranked ahead of him. Everyone knows that mayweather has a better resume than all these fighters. I am not a fan of Floyd style at all but If you appreciate talent and hardwork then you should jump on the wagon . He has fought fighters such as Prime Oscar, Cotto, Castillo, Corrales, Marquez, Canelo and now Maidana. Its hard to like his personality but his resume speaks for itself and Of course he has ducked many fighters but that doesn't mean his past resume goes to garbage. I am pretty sure to be able to become a top P4P fighter in the world. You have to face top legit fighters . How many times have you seen him get knocked down and being a boxer myself it is extremely hard to do what he does which is to outsmart, outskill and protect yourself the whole 36 minutes. The ring is a small place. We should respect a fighter especially If he is undefeated.

Best of this era, 1st ballot HOF, ATG, top 3 ATG Defense, 20+ champions or former champs he has defeated, and still going strong at 37.

    I respect him

I think most people respect him. Those that don't spend all their time at internet cafes trying to smear his name. Usually guys with chinese buffet sounding names.

I am more of a fan of manny then I am of mayweather because he is more exciting to watch and a humble person but Mayweather resume is crazy compared to many of the top fighters considered by boxing fans. Chavez he is an ATG type of fighter but Mayweather is undefeated while facing more than 20 champions, thats way too good

in order for mayweather to be just as great as duran he would need someone like lara. (lets say if lara dominates canelo) mayweather fights him at a full 154 & beats him he would be right there with duran in my opinion.

the fighters are there at 147 and 154 to surpass a lot of these guys like duran (thurman, lara, pac, bradley) just would have to take the fights....or at least take 2 out of the 4. (bradley pac or thurman lara) gets him right up there..........

I definatly respect mayweather and what he does he is an ATG for sure. The only question I have about his resume and the list of names is, What did all these guys go on to do after mayweather fought them, What were their records after mayweather?
