Why Canelo vs Lara is a bad idea.

That fight was misleading and many people thought Angulo was now reborn.

They're the top contenders at 154, with Mayweather waiting at the top. What is hard about this? Why complicate it further?

Floyd can stay put and fight guys like Khan, Garcia, Porter, etc. for equal or more money and way less risk.
Beating Ishe does nothing for Lara's career except put another boring one sided mismatch on his resume.

Maybe it is a dangerous fight, maybe not. I think Floyd can make almost anyone miss. I don't think his punching power is that threatening right now. If they fought it would be a defense-oriented sparring session. It is not a super fight.
The sparks could fly in the Canelo-Lara matchup. There are stylistic differences and I think there will be some intense bad blood by time they do fight. I hope it happens. Lara will talk a lot of trash about how he is going to school and dominate Canelo, as will his fans. And Canelo is going to get ready to answer all that with his arsenal of power and boxing skills. I think this is a much better fight for the fans.
Thanks for being the ONLY one who really read the thread and responded to it.

Fight Jesse Vargas and you can have a fight with me. Remember when Floyd said that?
Lara dont even need Canelo to fight Floyd. Fighting Lara right now, would be almst similar to him fighting Ghost, and Ortiz who were no names. Although they came off of big name wins, Lara has already had pretty good wins.
I have a hard time believing Lara can IMPRESSIVELY beat Canelo. This fight will be much tougher than Perro. Perro has no power at all. Slow bum. Canelo will literally snatch Lara off the table, and it will look like a cherrypick if Floyd fights him after this war..
