  • Why Canelo vs Lara is a bad idea.

Floyd didnt even notice Lara, until he signed to fight Marcos because everyone was sayng,"Why dont you fight Lara?". That, and plus Ishe Smith wanted to fight Lara so it also forced Floyd to learn about the guy. He mentioned Lara at the Madaina presser, and it was the first time he really acknowledged him.

Yall know I dont do the biased shiet; "Aww he always knew who he was, he was pretending to not know his name." Stop it, he still dont even know Canelo or Ghost's names. Still mispronounces their names at times, and is forgetful about both fighters.

But this is my point, with Ishe fighting him it will create this situation where not only does he NOW blatantly know who Lara is, KNOWS that its the fight people will want to see, but after Lara beats Ishe, Floyd will have this incentive to go out and avenge Ishe. I seriously think this is a possibility.
    And if so, GREAAAAT!!

Here is the problem, even tho Lara uses movement and boxes similar to Floyd, he is NOT Floyd and I have a hard time believing that he is going to beat Canelo easy. Floyd is able to stand in the pocket and walk Canelo's big azz down without even being grazed, breaking a sweat, or even changing his facial expression. As if it were effortless which is amazing. But Lara will be breathing hard, barely avoiding great pressure, lacking the skills and technique to make Canelo respect his power. Floyd is smaller than Lara, but Lara may be TOO small for Canelo.

I think that fight will make Lara look like a ww fighting in the wrong weight class. Not saying who I think will win or lose because I dont want to provoke any of you. BUT Canelo aint big and slow like Perro. He is huge and fast af. Might be too durable for Lara's technique. Yea Canelo aint a pressure fighter but hotdamnit he put on some GREAT pressure against Perro in a few in those rounds.

If Lara beats Canelo, it will be a BIG fight for Floyd and a sensible one. But man Canelo may be waaaay too big for him and may crush his skull.

I hope Lara doesnt sign anything until AFTER he beats Ishe. Cuz at that point, Floyd really wont have any real foes at ww. He should really make a permanent move to 54 where other fighter's size will compensate for his great skill advantage. Please no biased trolls yall know Im really not built for it. Just talk some honest boxing.

There is really no point to fight ishe and risk the canelo fight. What if he hurts his hand or gets a bad eye cut. If the offer is there and fair then just take it now

Perro has 0 foot work. Canelo needs guys to stand still, he doesn't really cut of the ring well either.

NONE of that will happen when he STOPS Ishe. But what fight would you rather see? Lara vs Floyd, or Lara vs Canelo? If Lara fights Canelo he will take some punishment, win, lose, or draw. After Lara dominates Ishe, he will be right in front of Floyd's face. Floyd will see the fight, will be desperate for an opponent and really wont have anyone else to fight anyways. The Ishe fight is meaningless for Lara, but theirs a bigger picture. He's a TMT fighter.

Who cares, its Floyd's fighter. So Floyd may have an incentive to fight him after he beats Ishe. Who cares about Ishe? Im just saying that it may lead to a real fight for Floyd and another style he will have to figure out.

Yet Lara got dropped by Perro. I dont even think Lara can take Canelo's punches. Not saying who would win or lose, just saying Canelo is waaay too big for Lara. And he not slow like Perro he a bigazz fast, strong boxer. And a good one at that.

Angulo didn't follow the rehydration clause of the Lara fight. Neither were supposed to gain 10lbs, Lara followed Angulo gained 20.
