A win over Smith won't changes Lara's position at all. A win over Canelo will send a clear message that Lara is the man to fight. If Lara can't beat Canelo he probably doesn't pose much of a threat to Floyd anyway.

Lara is probably the fighter Floyd knows the LEAST. No one knows who he is. You said whether I WANT to acknowledge it or not. Why wouldnt I? Floyd still doesnt know who Ghost is, and Canelo, and Ortiz. He forgets their names everytime he speaks on them. Why did he mention Lara NOW? Why didnt he mention him before?
