I just don't see Chavez getting knocked out. GGG packs a punch, but I think Chavez will last. Dude has an iron chin and I don't even like him.

It's hard to say because Chavez has a very good chin and I don't think he has ever been knocked down. It could be a case of the referee stopping the fight without Chavez ever being floored but taking a terrible one sided beating. I think GGG will stop him in 8 rounds or less.

Of course, it would take a highly skilled boxer with terrific speed and at least decent power to do that.
Yeah, he never really seems hurt but I've seen his face bruise up from much weaker punchers than Chavez jr. I can imagine Chavez putting in work and leaving some pretty substantial damage whether or not GGG is actually hurt by the punches.

If Golovkin deals with Chavez Jr. (which I expect to happen), he still has to face the much faster, better conditioned, more skilled, and harder hitting Sergio Martinez if he wants to claim he's champion. Remember what Rosado did to Golovkin's face?

Has Chavez Jr ever taken a sustained attack to the body from someone?

Yeah and Rosado isn't known as a big puncher at all really.

Yes. Martinez hit him with something like 80 body shots. Mostly it was straight lefts to his stomach. There were a few right hooks thrown in as well.

Why would he fight off the back foot? That just not how chavez fights, in fact he's usually on the back foot

Steroids have always played a big part in Chavez Jr's supposedly great chin. But even with a 20 pound advantage and a body full of roids, I see Chavez getting good-boy'ed in the 10th round by GGG the God of War.

On second thought, since this fight is at 168, Chavez might actually go the distance since he'll have a 30 pound advantage and will be pumped full of roids. But he's gonna take a vicious thrashing from Golovkin for sure.
