Definitely could. But he'd have to back Chavez up and have him covering up in a shell before he could unleash it. Backing Jr up won't be easy.

it would not shock me if jr upset him. especially if he comes in at cruiserweight.

May not happen like that at all.

Like some of the other posters in this thread, I think if Jr get's stopped at all, it'll be on cuts or maybe a body shot and late.

What if it goes the other way?

Who are the big punchers on GGG's resume? He gets hit some as well.

GGG should get it done. He has the amateur pedigree and has been looking scary beating up the guys that will fight him, but I dunno'...

        I smell an upset...

If Golovkin doesn't beat the ever loving **** out of Chavez, I'll be disappointed. A hell of a lot worse fighters than what Golovkin is supposed to be have made Chavez look bad.

            Chavez isn't a big puncher.

              Tell that to Sergio Martinez.

Besides who has GGG fought that punches bigger?

I dunno...like I said, GGG should win, then again...

Don't see Chavez going past 8 rounds.

GGG does everything better then Chavez, only thing Chavez has going for him is the chin. That will make him take a horrendous beating.

HBO and Top Rank are cashing out on Chavez.

I think what he's getting at is Chavez has immense power because of his in ring size advantage

You guys cry up and down how chavez is this protected bum, he has no skills only takes easy fights lol if that true you think he would take this fight thinking he will lose no he took this fight cause him and his team know they will win.
Is that why he took the Martinez fight, cause he knew he will not lose? Nobody is saying Chavez is protected anymore, he clearly has a lot of guts if not power or ability

So now anytime somebody tastes the canvas, it's because they're a big puncher? Sergio has been dropped multiple times. Doesn't mean each person was a big puncher.
