Jr makes you wonder what he would had been if he had a real amateur career and dedication to the craft.

He is his own worst enemy

      Anyone else thinks Chavez's good.
everyone agrees with this but they only hate him cause of his last name.

I'd say he's around B- level definitely not A level though.

        He is fan friendly though.

He is a very talented fighter,, he seems to have his dad's chin and body shots...

People wrote him off early in his career after he fought nothing but bums, and then came in out of shape vs an unknown Carlos Molina. Bob arum showed his wisdom and pulled Chavez off major tv and let him toil around on Mexican tv and Latin fury PPv.
And then Chavez actually turned into a really good fighter beating john duddy, Rubio, lee.. He was an actual contender at mw, and nearly stopped serg...

Chavez jr has all the potential in the world, but it's the dedication and work ethic that will be his problems.. Especially now that he has made a few million... Hard to get up in the morning and train when your sleeping in silk sheets...

I just can't get used to the fact that he lost to Vera. Molina and Zbik were acceptable because they were alright fighters but Vera?

I was a fan of his dad, perhaps I expect too much?

If you don't train properly, any fighter can beat you... Ray mercer vs Jesse ferguson is an example...

And Vera is an upset specialist... It's basically the only reason he gets big fights

He has underrated skills, but he's not a 'very good fighter'. He's decent.

His application has become very solid if not good. His focus and professionalism are a bit further behind. The latter two are more important.

He is slow and not a very hard puncher but he is tough. I don't think he can beat any of the super six fighters at super middleweight.
